04 - The academy of wick

Mave blacked out and woke up in a room, no windows, no furniture, just an empty room. The floors were filled with dirty hay and bones. There was only one door, a large wooden door that can only be opened and closed from outside. She heard the giant rusty lock turn from outside, and inside came three scary-looking girls.
They were all wearing black lipstick and eyeshadow, the middle one who seemed to be the leader had black medium-length hair.

She was light-skinned, green eyes, and had a septum piercing.
The one on the left was dark-skinned with slighter blue-green eyes, she had black silky hair into a big bun at the back. And the girl on the right was slightly in between the shades of the other two. Her hair was super short, bleached blonde, and curly, she had green eyes and an eyebrow piercing.

They all wore the same dress as Vonia, but the one in the middle had a slightly purple shade, the one on the left had a slightly blue shade and the one on the right had a slightly green shade. They wore it with big black sneakers Mave never seen before. She starred at them for a while before asking what was going on.

"Who sent u here." The leader asked, Mave could tell she was the feisty one. "U don't want to know what will happens if u don't talk." The on the left said. "Speak up. Now." The one on the right said walking closer to Mave than the other two. "Or else u want people to start dying." ... she was clearly bluffing Mave thought to herself, she doesn't even know me. Mave snapped out of it when the girl's eyes went bright red, their wide smiles and scarily calm.

"I came to meet my friends Vonia and Jevy," Mave said with her head down.
"Jevy's talking to humans now." The left one said. "Who said I was human.." Mave said. "So what are u?" The two on the sides asked simultaneously. "I'm a witch.".

Earlier that day, Mave's mother also said. "Witches can get in trouble for talking to humans and if u are in a situation where they will kill u... don't ever let them know you're mortal."
Mave remembered as soon as the girl said Jevy was talking to humans.
"And u think we're that stupid, mortal girl," the leader said calmly as they turned to walk out.

"Dumb, Dumb Mortals," the one on the right said as the three girls giggled and exited the room. Leaving Mave there alone.

Mave worried herself, is this how I end? What is going on... what if they're not bluffing, She got tired and fell asleep.

"Hey Guys," Vonia said greeting her friends, "hey !". "What are u guys talking about?", "no just the stalker everyone's talking about," Jesse replied. "Stalker?" Vonia said laughing. "Yes, some girl... sat in the woods across the track, looking at the school. Waiting on someone to come out, probably involved with witch hunters," Zenia said.

Immediately Vonia knew who it was, Mave.. she thought to herself. "You're so full of it Zenia." She said getting up and walking away to the locker hall.
"Jevy!" Vonia screeched signaling to Jevy. He gets up out of class and comes outside to hear what Vonia was saying.
"I think they caught Mave." She whispered. Jevy's face went pail "M- Mave?" He asked.

"Yes, she must've been waiting on us in the woods, they think she's working with some witch hunter or something"
"They must have her in the den.." Jevy added .. "we need a plan, we have to get her out of there."

A day later she was awakened by the rough loud clack sound of the rusty lock opening. Vonia and Jevy stood at the doorway and whispered something, the room went pitch black right after.
They quickly but quietly ran inside, "don't worry we're gonna get u out." Vonia said as they helped Mave stand up.

"Ugh, costume changes are so 1990's." She said before forming a fist and letting it go spreading her fingers at Mave. The mist started surrounding her in the dark, then they quickly bolted to the door and closed it. Mave stepped out and saw that she was now in completely different clothes, she was in a black dress with a purple shade to it with a lace collar and v patterned chest.

Her long black and blue butterfly locs were now black with only a small section of purple and were in a slick back bun. Her lips were black and glossed, she had eyeshadow on and looked fierce like never before. She had on big black sneakers and a black anklet.

She smiled at the mirror in the bathroom, stepped out with a smirk, and looked at her friends. All three of them walked to the doors smiling, they went back outside and looking at the church, it seemed so small. She was lucky to have friends who could get her out so easily.

"We probably have to walk u all the way home," Vonia said. "Yea, just in case they follow you," said Jevy agreeing with Vonia. They headed to the broken twigs, but then turned and walked along the sidewalk from in the woods. "Thank u guys so much for getting me out, I brought pizza and juice and everything," Mave said. "It's cool, but we really do love pizza," Jevy replied. "I know" Mave mumble as they all laughed. "What's the name of your school?". "The academy of Wick" Vonia replied.

They walked all the way to Mave's house through the woods. "U know guys... I wanted to ask if u were witches, but I know u are now... and I'm fine with it" Mave said, "what gave u the suspicion?" Asked Vonia. "My mother, she literally described u guys," Mave replied. "Your mother seems like she knows a lot about witches." Vonia said, "u sure she's not one?".

"Yea I would know if my mother was a witch or not," Mave said. "Mhmm would u?" Vonia replied.
They followed Mave right up to her door, where her mother was waiting on her. She gave Mave a ginormous hug and asked what happened.
"Well apparently- we all were playing dress up and she had to stay at our place," Vonia said. "Oh, well u should've called," Catherine said.

"Ohh I left my phone.." Mave exclaimed, "we'll carry it to u, probably tomorrow." Vonia added before leaving with Jevy. "That was smooth.."Jevy whispered to Vonia as they both laughed and went back into the woods.
"Well I see u haven't stopped talking to witches," Catherine said calmly.
"Mother, are u a witch?" Mave asked.
"No hunny" Catherine sniffed and laughed.

The two laughed, watched movies, and ate pizza and ice cream the whole day.

Vonia and Jevy walked back to their coven. "U helped her escape." Said the leader of the trio Mave saw that day.
"Quin, Agra, Siboni, you're gonna leave Our friend and US alone. And u wanna know why? Cuz we have a lot of dirt on u three, and if u mess with us, you're gonna be in deep shit." Vonia said threatening the three girls.

The two then walked away feeling completely satisfied as the trio watched them leave. Now at peace that their friend isn't in some den under the school, Vonia and Jevy went back to their dorms.
