The Gentleman x Mr. Cheese (fluff)--Always the One

The Gentleman's POV

"I love you." Mr. Cheese cooed, leaning his head on my shoulder. "I love you too." I replied gruffly, patting him awkwardly on the head.

At the moment, Mr. Cheese and I were outside Communications on the skeld, waiting for someone to pass by so we could murder them most painfully. But the halls seemed quiet so far, which may or may not have anything to do with the fact that we had already murdered everyone but three people. As if reading my mind, Mr. Cheese commented, "It's too quiet out here. It's almost scary." "Don't forget that I'm here." I reminded him. "I'll protect you from anything scary."

"Aww..." Mr. Cheese blushed. "I'd protect you too, sweet prince." I felt him gently take my hand and hold it tightly. As we stood there in the hallway together, hand in hand, I was reminded of how Mr. Cheese and I first met. It had been a long time ago...

Mr. Cheese's POV

I smiled up at The Gentleman as I held his hand, noticing that he had a faraway look in his eyes. I wonder if he was thinking about me, or how we first met. That memory was a very special one for me, and I remembered it clearly.

I rushed down the halls of Crewmate College frantically, already late for my first class of my 3rd day of school. "I'm late, late, late!" I was running so fast, I didn't look in front of me properly, and smacked right into someone's chest. "Oh my god, sorry!" I spluttered, backing away from this person so I could get a better look at them. "Oh my god." I repeated when I saw that guy I had slammed into was extremely cute.

He was wearing a charcoal suit, and had two top hats perched on his head, which to be honest was kinda insane, but I overlooked that part. "Um...hi." I said, flushing and mentally screaming at myself for staring at the guy in front of me so continuously. "What's up?" I leaned my elbow up on a locker nearby and attempted to act way smoother than I felt. As I awaited an answer, my elbow slipped, and I lost my balance. "Crap!" I panicked, plummeting toward the slick, hard floor. But my fall was halted suddenly by a hand supporting my back and another grabbing my arm. Surprised, I looked up into dark brown eyes—the eyes of the cute guy I had just ran into.

"Oh, uh, thanks, um..." I was a stammering mess and was blushing like crazy. "You're welcome." The guy said in a deep voice, smiling lightly down at me, and (I swear it wasn't my imagination) winking at me. "You alright?"

"Yep." I said breathlessly. "Just fine. Say, any chance I could get your name?" "The Gentleman." My new crush replied. "And you?" "Mr. Cheese." I answered dreamily. "Maybe if I could get your phone number too...?"

From then on, it was pretty much as if the stars had aligned for me. The Gentleman and I started officially been going out a few weeks later, and ever since, we've been the best couple I could imagine. I mean, sure, we've had our ups and downs, and arguments too, but they only seemed to bring us together more.

And when I came out up my daydream and leaned up at The Gentleman for a kiss, I knew that he would always be the one for me.
