This one was requested by @novisor_simp! So...yeah. Enjoy, I guess?

Oh, and for this oneshot, just pretend that Greaser and Player aren't enemies, and are kinda friends.

Greaser's POV

I smoothed out my hair-sprayed Elvis-like hair as I strolled down the Mira HQ hallway towards logs. I had only one thought on my mind, and that was Player. When I had first met him, I made a promise that he was going to be mine. And today I was finally going to tell him that. Well, with help, of course. Help from Veteran, to be exact. He had been very interested to find out that I had a crush on Player, and agreed to meet me in logs for a 'pep talk' (as he called it) when the game started today.

Ahead of me, I saw Player walk out of logs and towards Decontamination.

I wonder where he's going.

I skidded into logs and almost slammed directly into Veteran, who was peering out the doorway nervously. "I sent Player out to do a fake task in Reactor," He explained. "While I set you two up for your date." Veteran said the word date in a singsong voice, smiling mischievously. "Well, it's not a date yet." I mumbled. "I'm just telling Player how I feel about him." "Which will lead to a date!" Veteran said gleefully. "Now just stay chill when you're talking to Player, and you'll be fine. Oh, and I'm totally not missing out on any of this, so—"

Veteran backed up towards the logs desk, and then crawled underneath it. His hand reached out from underneath the wooden desk and gave me a thumbs-up. "Pretty cool hiding spot, huh?" His voice said, slightly muffled. "Sure..." I lied. Really, I was kind of hoping that Veteran would leave Player and I alone to talk, but I guess Veteran doesn't work that way. Oh well.

Player's POV

"VETERAN!"

I stormed towards logs, sopping wet (from Decontamination) and furious. "Oh my god— Veteran, there wasn't a task in Reactor! Did you even check the task list—oh, hey, Greaser."

I stopped short, only finding Greaser in logs. His hair looked perfect as always, and for some reason, I found myself trying to smooth out my own tangled, wet hair underneath my beanie. "Have you seen Veteran?" I asked Greaser, giving up on my stubborn hair. "Uh...nope." Greaser replied, looking away from me hastily. "Ugh." I grumbled. "Well, let me know if you find him, okay? We need to talk." I started to walk back out the door when I felt a hand grab my wrist. "What—"

"Player," Greaser began, "I actually need to tell you something." "What?" I asked curiously, turning around. A faint blush formed on my cheeks. "Um...Ilikeyou." Greaser blurted out quickly.

"What?" My brow furrowed. I couldn't understand what Greaser was saying. Greaser cleared his throat, and said softly, "I like you. Ever since we first met, I felt like I...I kind of had a connection with you. You're funny, and kind, and cute, and I really like you. As more than a friend, really. I realize this is probably going to make things awkward, but I just wanted you to know."

My mouth dropped open.

Greaser likes me. As more than a friend, too. So...he loves me. Oh my god, he loves me. Wait—do I love him?

I thought about that for a minute. Did I love Greaser? I mean, he was cool, and cute, and pretty kind when he wanted to be.

Welp—I think that solved it. I loved Greaser, all right.

"You know what's funny?" I said slowly, meeting Greaser's eyes. "I like you too. As more than a friend." And with that, I leaned forward and pressed our lips together. I felt Greaser open his mouth slightly in shock, but soon he melted into the kiss. It was perfect, with Greaser's soft lips against mine, and the thrill of finding someone who really loved me.

"So, when's your first date?" A voice said loudly. Greaser and I jumped back from each other, flushing furiously. "Veteran!" I yelled as I realized Veteran was sitting crisscross under the logs desk, a half-full popcorn bucket in his lap and a kernel halfway in his mouth. "What?" Veteran shrugged. "Watching you guys is way better than the romance movies on TV. Plus, you really didn't think I was going to miss out on watching my two best friends get together, did you? So, when's the date?"

"Why—you—ugh—" I spluttered until Greaser put a calming hand on my shoulder. "Sorry about that." Greaser apologized. "I didn't know he was going to hide there until it was too late." "That's Veteran for you." I grunted.

"But it's okay." Greaser smiled at me. "Say...are you free tonight?"

I grinned, forgetting all about Veteran. "I sure am."
