"Just thinking about losing you, the thousandths turn into hours"A week had passed since Jennifer and Aladdin last spoke. JJ had been busy with trying to find Bin Laden while trying to get learn how her new team works. She was working alongside Mateo Cruz, Michael Hastings, and Tivon Askari. Cruz was really the only one who took her ideas into consideration and enjoyed working with her. JJ couldn't shake the feeling that something was off Askari and Hastings. Hastings was just arrogant but Tivon seemed completely disinterested. Most likely because he wasn't much of an English speaker.
Another 2 weeks had passed, and JJ still hadn't seen Aladdin. She went to his tent multiple times and no one answered. She had asked Marjan and some of the other soldiers, but none of them had seen him. As much as JJ wanted to focus on her job, he was the only thing on her mind.

"Has anyone here seen Yazan?" A tall dark-skinned man shouted for the whole base to hear.
"Tent" Someone yelled from an unknown direction.
The man ran as fast as he possibly could until he reached the tent. He knocked on the door once and waited a few moments. He then slammed his side into the door and saw him.
"Yazan, you here?"
He looked around the room until he saw a shadow on the farthest side of the bed. He looked at the small desk next to it, noticing the red-colored tissues. He quietly walked to the other side of bed, and that's when he saw it.
"Hey, you ok? What happened?" He didn't get an answer. Unless you would count Aladdin burying his head between his arms and legs. The man quickly spotted the blood-soaked bandages on his hands and legs. He saw the bruises covering what he could see of his body, assuming they would be in his face too. "Please answer me, Aladdin. All I want to do is help you, you know that. I would never hurt you." He rubbed his back gently. After not getting an answer, he guessed he was having problems trying to speak.
He slowly put his hand in front of the man. Aladdin moved his shaky hands againizingly slow. Like any movement killed him.
Ivan. He signed, and Ivan hummed in response. Aladdin rested his hand in Ivan's, and squeezed it as hard as he could, which wasn't hard at all. Ivan wrapped Aladdin's had onto his arm, and kissed his head. He got up and left the room. The first person he saw was Lauren, just who he wanted to see. He walked over to her, with an angry expression.
"What happened to him?!" He yelled at the woman.
"I don't know, Ivan. He hasn't come out in 3 weeks, he won't let anyone in." Her voice trembled, Ivan would see how worried she was.
"Ok, ok. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to yell at you. It's just— he doesn't look too good. I just saw him."
"What do you mean by not too good?" She knew what he was going to say, that Aladdin was beaten.
"Bruises, blood. He's even coughing again. He can't even get himself to move, never mind speak."
"I didn't want to believe it."
"I know. Listen, is there someone here you can talk to him, maybe get him to say something. He's a smart guy, he can probably tell that we want to kill whoever did this to him."
