"And then that smile that secretly reveals you"

The glass doors pushed open, welcoming a large group of both men and women. They were all sporting dark black or blue suits. They had come in with the assumption everyone would be dressed in a  more professional manner despite the recent heat wave. They were instead greeted with people wearing way too much color in a government building.

The building looked much older in the outside, almost like it had been built hundreds of years ago. The inside was the complete opposite. It was filled with high tech computers, a large screen in the center, and offices lining the walls.

You could hear their jaws slam against floor. This place had made theirs look outdated and, well sad.

"Wow." A lanky male with curly brown hair whispered under his breath.

"Tell me about it." A muscular and dark-skinned man said with an obvious amount of annoyance in his voice.

"Guys." The taller man with a permanent frown plastered to his face said in a monotonous tone. "Let's find whoever's in charge and get to work." He ordered his team.

The elder of the group spotted a tall and dark-skinned man.

"Ed? Is that you?"

The man turned around and burst into a fit of hysterical laughter. He approached the group and looked them up and down.

"Suits. That is about the funniest thing I've seen all year!" Ed laughed while holding his stomach. "Wow, David Rossi. I thought you could do better. You were always one to prove me wrong." He smiled before abruptly embracing his old friend.

"Since when do you hug people?" Dave was shocked those words would even come out of his mouth.

"Have you met my son, David? He would hug a tree if I let him outta here." Ed laughed again.

"So I guess Aladdin hasn't changed since I last saw him?"

"HA! You should see him now. He's  at the mosque right now, but I'm sure he'll be happy to see you." Ed said while patting Rossi's back. "Anyway, I'll show you guys to a conference room so you can get started." He started walking towards the large and blue room they'd be working in.

"Damn that guys tall." Derek said in complete shock.

Aladdin sat on the edge of a wooden table in the back of the office. He was intently staring at the banana in his hand when JJ entered the room.

Jennifer noticed what her boyfriend was doing. She contemplated on asking him exactly what it was but just shook her head and walked past him.

"Making new coffee?" He asked with his gaze remaining on the non-eaten banana.

"Yup." She said, popping the 'p'.

JJ dramatically slammed her cup in the counter, causing Aladdin to fall off the table. The loud bang caused her it look over her shoulder, seeing his head quickly pop up. As bad as she felt, Jennifer couldn't help but laugh at the man on the floor.

Aladdin brushed the back of his bright orange pants before resuming his staring competition with the banana. Jennifer walked over to the table and sat beside him and smiled.

"Aladdin."

"Hm?"

"Why are you staring at a banana, babe?"

"I can't tell what it looks like."

JJ was confused at first. Then it hit her, making her jaw hit the floor before laughing once again. She honestly couldn't believe he couldn't see it.

"What?" He asked with the same confused expression.

"I'm just gonna take this." JJ took the banana out of his hands, trying her best not to laugh at his confusion. She dumped the banana in the trash can while shaking her head. She finished making her coffee before tapping the confused man on the shoulder, signaling that it was probably best to leave the break room.

Aladdin gently closed the door behind him and pushed when he saw the suites figures off in the distance. He instantly knew they were the American agents Jennifer had been waiting so anxiously for.

"Jennifer" He whispered.

The blonde hair flipped over her shoulders as she turned to face him. She raised her eyebrows, silently questioning him. All he did was point his head towards the doors, and she saw them, her former team.

She contemplated between hiding behind skyscraper of a human before her or awkwardly greeting the group after almost a year.

It was too late, the famous Penelope Garcia noticed her and started smiling, and then on the brink of tears as she barley mouthed JJ.

"I'll be right back, don't you dare throw this out." Jennifer said as she carefully placed the hot coffee in the soft hands of Aladdin. "And, it's hot so just....don't drop it." She joked as she walked away.

The team shifted their focus from trying to figure out the story between Ed and Rossi when Garcia dropped her hot pink purse and started running in the matching heels. She soon engulfed JJ in her famous hug, practically squishing her. The rest of the team couldn't tell who had just fallen victim to Garcia's hug as they watched in awe and confusion.

Aladdin watched from the large array of desk computers and the occasional laptop. He couldn't help but laugh at the sight. He would've joined the group to ease the anxiety of JJ whether she'd like to acknowledge it or not, but he heard Ed call his name.   He couldn't help but look over his shoulder before exiting the space, luckily his eyes met those of Jennifer Jareau.

There were too many of those moments to keep track of. It seemed like every time they'd make eye contact the world forgot how to rotate and time stopped. It didn't even have to last a full second for it to be felt be either of them.

Neither JJ or Aladdin had even felt something so unexplainable. That's what it was, the love they had for one another was built from the first time the pairs of ocean eyes met.

Unsurprisingly, Emily Prentiss and of course, Penelope noticed the short exchange between the two. Neither said anything, instead they enjoyed seeing their friend for the first time in way too long.
