The paladins were at Keith's apartment, various facemasks, bowls of food, pillows, feathers, and random makeup items scattered around the floor. Allura sat on a couch, Lance at her feet as she brushed his hair, making small braids in it. Pidge sat next to Allura, curled up against the arm of the couch playing a game on their phone, their glasses lit up from the screen. In a chair a foot or two away, Hunk sat, sifting through a pile of DVDs, Keith looking over his shoulder as he did so, making small nothingness comments about the movies. Everyone had matching bracelets, all of their gender identities. Lance had a genderqueer one, with little charms hanging from it, like an ocean wave, raindrops, and various gems in the colors of the bisexual flag. Allura had a nonbinary beaded one, Hunk had a yellow and pink one with little foods and animals, Pidge had a non-binary colored one with little planet charms, and Keith had a trans one that was more of a sweatband than a bracelet.

"Have you guys chosen a movie?" Allura asked, finishing off one last braid in Lance's hair before looking up at where Keith and Hunk were.

"No, we haven't," Keith said, sighing and burying his face in his hands.

"there's a lot more movies here than there seems to be" Hunk added, setting down a stack of DVD cases he was looking through.

"I see, I see," Allura said, tapping Lance's shoulders signaling for him to get up. "Well, we could always just put on some random TV channel if we have to"

"All that's on at this time of night is the News and some stupid crime shows," Keith said, "its the only reason why I bought these movies, to begin with. I've watched them all uncountable amounts of times"

"Okay, so what if we just watched something on Netflix?"

"None of us have Netflix, that wouldn't work"

"Why don't we have Netflix?"

"because you are all dumbasses that forget your friend is a hacker," Pidge said, making everyone turn to look at them. "What? am I wrong? or am I not your friend?" after not getting an answer, they sighed. "Is there a computer anywhere here? I'm sure i could find some way to get some streaming site up" after a few more moments of silence, Pidge stood up, walking over to the stacks of movies. "or, we could always--"

"PIDGE WHAT THE FUCK?"

Smiling, Pidge grabbed a random movie, tossing it to Keith.

"Sherk...?"

"Sherk Two, actually. The fates chose it"

"I'm cool with Sherk" Hunk said as Pidge sat back down.

"Two. It's Sherk Two. there is a difference." Pidge said, pointing their phone at HUnk, "Matt would be disappointed in you"

"Shouldn't we watch Shrek one before Shrek two?" Allura asked, walking back over to her seat, braiding her hair over her shoulder.

"Everyones seen the first Shrek" Hunk said, "Wait, have you not seen the first Shrek?"

"Matt would be disappointed"

"I haven't seen many movies at all, to be honest," Allura said.

"Okay, that needs to change. Now." Pidge said, "you can't be at a sleepover without staying up all night watching shitty rom-com movies, it's just a sleepover thing"

"They're right, you know"

"Then I guess we are showing Allura some of the most memorable movies this place has to offer"

----

The sun was rising, the end credits of Shrek two playing. Keith and Lance were curled up together on the ground, a blanket messily draped over them. The TV remote was laying in one of Keith's hands, the other one tangled in Lance's hair. They were both asleep, braced together in each others warmth.

Allura was curled up in a chair hugging a pillow tightly, a small smile on her face as she slept.

Hunk was laying on part of the couch, a sketchbook dangling out of his hand, a sketch of a grassy field on the paper. A pencil sat next to him on the couch, a small pencil pouch on the arm of it.

Pidge was on the other end of the couch, curled up in a ball, their phone sitting in their hand, the phone screen dimmed, though chat messages could be seen before the screen flickered out.

All of them slept peacefully and the sun shone into the room, lighting up their faces. There was peace at last.
