I haven't watched the new episode of Riverdale, but a lot of people aren't happy about it.  I hope you enjoy this chapter. I'm really hoping to get another one out on Friday, since I didn't post one last week while I was on vacation.

Toni looked around the dimly lit room, seeing the framed photo her wife had set by the bed. She knew about the birthday party, but everything was foggy; like a dream. Was this real, or was she dreaming? She felt a weight on her, but couldn't quite turn her head. It wasn't until she smelled the oh so familiar cherry vanilla shampoo that she had missed for the last three years.

Tears filled her eyes, not really believing she was finally free of Penelope, Penny and the Ghoulies. Three long years and she was finally back with her wife. She tried to collect herself, to talk, but she hadn't used her voice in so long, she wasn't sure anything would come out. She wasn't even sure how long she had been here, but knew Jason had his birthday, which meant...three and a half months? Had she really been here for that long?

Yes, Toni could hear her family, friends and loved ones talking to her occasionally, and sort of remembers it, but she has no recollection of time.

"Baby..." Toni spoke with a very raspy voice, her throat dry. "Cher." She spoke a little louder, squeezing her hand that was still on the redhead's knee. She squeezed it a few more times before the other woman finally woke up with a confused look on her face, until she saw that Toni's eyes were open.

"TT?! You're awake." Cheryl spoke quietly, not really believing what she was seeing.

"Baby," was all Toni managed to say, as her eyes filled with more tears, one running down her cheek.

"Shh, TT. Are you in pain?"

Toni shook her head. "I just missed you so much. Will you kiss me?"

Cheryl was now crying as well as she shifted her body a little, allowing Toni to move her head and neck since she was no longer on Toni's shoulder. "I missed you too, baby girl. So, so much." She gently cupped Toni's cheek as she melted into a pale hand, and kissed her wife ever so softly.

Neither of them wanted this moment to end, but Toni slightly pulled back and said, "Is there any water?" with a chuckle. Cheryl kissed her wife's forehead and moved over to the little bedside table, pouring Toni water and holding the straw as she drank.

"I love you so, so much." Cheryl said, sitting back down with Toni. Cheryl held her wife for a while, not wanting to move. She knew she needed to call a nurse or a doctor, but fuck, she missed Toni.

It was a little while longer when the nightly nurse was making her rounds, with a light knock on the door. She was definitely in shock to see Toin awake. "I'm so sorry I didn't call for you, Andrea. I just...I wanted to spend some time with Toni." Cheryl explained.

"No need to apologize, Cheryl. I completely understand." Andrea did a quick check up before going to page the neurology doctor that was looking after Toni.

"You're on a first name basis with all of the nurses, huh? Hooked up with any?" Toni raised an eyebrow as she had a grin on her face.

"Wow. You really haven't changed, have you?" The redhead chuckled. "Of course I didn't, TT. You are the only one for me." She moved some of Toni's hair behind her ear.

"I really missed that. You calling me 'TT'. How...how long was I out, anyway?"

Cheryl was quiet for a moment before answering, "Three and a half months..."
