Alexander's POV

It's been 3 hrs since I started searching for a job and all of them are looking for an experienced chef. I just graduated this year! No experience at all!

" 'Calvin's is looking for qualified Chef. The Chef will oversee the kitchen by managing other members of the food preparation team, deciding what dishes to serve and adjusting orders to meet client's requests.' Okay. Maybe they can consider my experience in school and OJT. 'Will be involved in cooking specialty foods and create unique dishes that inspire clients to order again.' Uh-huh. I think I can do that. 'Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree in Culinary Arts in a reputable school.' Check! 'Outstanding communication and leadership skills' Check! 'Credentials in health and safety training is a plus.' Well, I don't have that but I have other training certificates. Maybe that's fine with them. 'Applicants must be willing to work in Rockwell.' Oh great! I'm residing here at Rockwell. 'Willing to work immediately.' More than willing! 'At least 2-3 years of working experience is required for this position.' Ugh! This again! I don't have any working experience yet! Can they just accept fresh graduate? This is so frustrating!"

*sigh*

*knock knock*

"Hmmmmmm? Who's that?"

I walk towards the door and open it.

"Hey. Alexander, right?"

It's JC. The guy from yesterday.

"Right. So, uh, how are you?"

"I'm sober now. But still kind of dizzy. Anyway, thanks and sorry for what happened last night. Maddy told me everything."

"That's ok. I already told Maddy and your brother that you don't have to worry about it."

"Thanks. By the way, I bought some food before I came here. It's already lunch and I think you haven't eaten yet. I guess this could be a good peace offering as well."

"Oh? That's not necessarily. You really don't have to bother. But since you already bought it, thank you." He hands over me the paper bag full of foods. "Wow! I can't eat all of these. These are too many." Should I ask him to join me? There's nothing wrong about it, anyway. Plus, he's the one who bought these. "Why don't we just share? I think you haven't eaten your lunch yet as well."

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah, why not? Come inside."

He nods and walk inside.

"Wow! You have a nice unit set-up."

"Thanks. I have a friend, she's an interior designer. I ask her to design my room. I can recommend her if you need some changes in your room."

"Sure. But I'll have to ask my brother first."

We were both quiet while I'm setting up the table. His eyes keep on wondering around my room. Maybe he really like the design.

"Let's eat?" I asked him.

"Huh? Sorry."

"Let's eat?"

"Uh, yes."

We start eating the food he bought. We're both quiet. It's really awkward. To break the silence and awkwardness...

"JC/Alex." We called our names at once.

"Oh sorry. What is it?" I said to let him say what he was about to say.
