Oliver stares at Stiles with wide eyes. 'This guy is really starting to get on my nerves. What do we do with him now?', Stiles asks. Oliver tilts his head. 'Well, we can't just let him run free, right? This is the third time I've seen him and every time he was trying to kill someone. Now that I think about it, every time it was me who stopped him, but that's besides the point. Do we lock him up somehow? Can Lance just arrest him? Back in Beacon Hills, we had my dad as the sheriff. He knows about werewolves, so that makes it easier, but I don't know how these things work around here.' Oliver still looks confused. 'How did you do that? With the wire?' Stiles shrugs. 'Electricity runs in my blood. Quite literally.' Oliver nods. 'We have a meeting with the team tonight. You should come.' 'I'll be there.'
A little part of Stiles is afraid that this will turn out to be similar to his old pack. But he knows what he is worth now. And he knows Jackson won't let anything like that happen to him again. While he is still debating the possible outcomes of the meeting, Oliver shoots one of his fancy Arrows at the top of the building next to them and lets himself be pulled up. Just moments later, Detective Lance shows up with two officers and they take the unconcious werewolf into the back of the police car. Lance looks at Stiles with a sad glimmer in his eyes. 'It seems like you only get to see the bad side of this town. Green Arrow gave me a heads up concerning that guy.' He points to the still passed out wolf. 'You were lucky he was there to help you.' Stiles nods. 'Yeah, right. Lucky me.'
When the sun starts to sink behind the skyline, Stiles enters the Arrow Cave. Jackson smiles at him and he takes a seat next to the wolf. They cuddle up a little and then turn to Oliver. The vigilante catches everyone up on his and Stiles' adventure in the alley and Thea and Felicity gasp. 'You just grabbed a livewire and electrocuted a werewolf?', Diggle asks. Stiles nods shyly. 'I told you about my spark. It turns out, my talent is one called energy flow. It basically means that I can control electricity. And that's why it doesn't affect me. When I grabbed that wire, all I felt was strength. Besides, I couldn't let him hurt Oliver. What would become of this town?' Everyone nods and he can practically see the gears turning in Oliver's head.
'How's your fighting?', the vigilante asks. Stiles shrugs. 'I can somewhat hold my own. I tried my best to learn, but the pack would never actually let me fight. If I had a nickel for every time they told me I was weak and useless, I could rival Oliver. But that's besides the point. I can fight, but I wouldn't trust myself to actually beat someone stronger than me. I think my strength is defense. Then again, these days, who knows.' Oliver nods. 'I think you should join us. Only if you want to, of course, but I already know how much Roy trusts you and the girls won't shut up about you.' Stiles blushes a dark red. 'With your powers and a little training, I think you could really become an asset to this team.' 'Really?' Everyone in the room nods.
'I'd actually really like that. I kind of miss protecting people. But I have to let you know that it won't be easy. The girls already know this, and of course Roy does, but I didn't have it easy with my pack. So this has to be different. And it's going to take time. But I need you to know that I want to trust you. I truly believe that you guys are different and that's a start. You have to understand that after everything that happened back home, I am first and foremost looking out for myself. I can never let myself fall that low again.' They all nod in understanding and Jackson rests his head on Stiles' shoulder in solidarity. 'Then I think I am going to need some fighting lessons. I can't rely on my spark to get me out of everything, ey?' The team chuckles a little and Jackson pulls Stiles over to the sparring ring.
Stiles huffs when he lands flat on his back for the third time. 'I was wrong. I'm going to need a lot of training', he huffs. It's not annoyed or frustrated. In a way he is happy at the suspect of finally getting to learn all the things the pack wouldn't let him. Jackson reaches out his hand and pulls Stiles up. 'Don't get discouraged, Sti. This is your first day and you've already improved. I told you this already, you learn ridiculously fast. But I'm not surprised. You've always been one of the smartest people I know. And I don't just mean book smart. You'll get the hang of it. I know it.' Stiles grins happily. 'Yeah. And one day I'll have you pinned under me instead of the other way around.' The werewolf chuckles and leans into Stiles. 'Or you could just ask', he whispers into the spark's ear huskily. Stiles blushes and urges Jackson to keep training him.
After a little while longer, Oliver cuts in and takes over Stiles' training. Jackson growls a little but quickly gives in. He has to admit that while Oliver's training might be less fun and more demanding, it's also more effective. And he can see the genuine happiness on Stiles' face whenever he finally gets something. Eventually the young spark is exhausted and everybody decides to call it a night and go home. They all have to go to work in the morning.
Jackson goes home with Stiles again. 'Hey, Jax?', Stiles chuckles. 'Yeah?', the werewolf responds. 'You do have your own place, right?' Jackson nods. 'Don't take this the wrong way, because I'm definitely not complaining. But when was the last time you were there?' Jackson thinks for a moment. 'I went to get my mail and some clothes on Friday.' Stiles chuckles again. 'I love having you here', he admits. 'But I guess sometimes I'm still insecure and I'm afraid that you're going to get sick of me when you're here so much.' 'Do you want me to give you some space?' Stiles shakes his head. 'I'm not going to get sick of you, Sti. I could never. I'll be here right next to you as long as you'll have me.' Stiles melts into Jackson and sighs happily. 'I can't imagine ever not wanting to have you next to me.' Jackson squeezes Stiles tight and presses a kiss to his head. 'Good.'
