"How about this one?" Harry held up a very sexy lingerie to his chest and posed.
Brooke shook her head. "Harry. I'm worried about you."
He put it back on the rack and shrugged. "I thought it looked good on me."
Brooke took Harry's hand. "Come on. Let's go. I'm starving."
Harry and Brooke walked out of the store and into the busy Times Square.
"New York City is so beautiful in the winter." Brooke said.
"So are you." Harry murmured.
Brooke turned. "Did you say something?"
Harry quickly shook his head. "No. No, I was just uh.."
Harry's POV
I quickly shook my head and mumbled a no. She smiled and turned to walk in front of me. I trailed closely behind looking behind us once in a while in case the paps showed up. They haven't found us yet and I was hoping it would stay that way.
"So," I began. "Where do you want to eat?"
She shrugged. "I don't know. Pizza sounds good."
"I know a place on 5th street. Follow me." I grabbed her hand and we walked side by side until it happened.
We rounded a corner and there they were. The paps.
"HARRY! HARRY! WHY HAVE YOU BEEN HIDING? WHO IS THAT GIRL WITH YOU? HARRY! HARRY!"
I felt my hand begin to shake, but it wasn't my hand that was shaking, it was Brooke's. She was very claustrophobic and the paps began to swarm around us.
I put my arm around her waist and drew her close.
"It's okay, Brooke. I'll get you out of here."
"MOVE!" I screamed. "MOVE NOW!"
I began to push my way through the flashing lights and cameras. Our hotel was only a few blocks away and I needed to get her there.
I felt her hands close around my shirt and her breathing became heavy. She was getting worse.
"Ha-Ha-Harry. I need my inhaler." Brooke stuttered.
I checked my pockets and it was not there. Fear washed over me. I had left it at the hotel.
"It's at the hotel, Brooke."
We were still making our way through the paps when her legs buckled beneath her and I caught her in my arms.
I picked her up in my arms, wedding style, and began to run.
"HARRY! HARRY! HARRY!" The lights were flashing. The paps were yelling and all I cared about was getting Brooke to safety.
I had a adrenaline rush and I did not stop running. I ran and I ran and I ran until finally we were at the front of our hotel where more paps and about 50 fans were standing.
"GET OUT OF MY WAY!" I screamed.
I ran up the steps and into the front lobby. Once inside, I hurried to the elevator and pushed our floor number.
Brooke's breathing had slowed, but she was still clinging to me.
"Are you okay, baby?" I was almost on the verge of tears.
"Yes, yes I'm fine." She said between breaths.
The elevator door opened and we stepped onto our floor. I had Brooke's arm around my shoulders and I was helping her walk.
"Here we are." I sighed. I slid the card in and the door unlocked. I gently sat Brooke on the bed and went to look for the inhaler.
"Where is it? Where is it?" I was frantically searching through every bag. Flinging clothes this way and that.
"Harry..." I turned to see Brooke pointing to a table where the inhaler was sitting.
I grabbed it and handed it to her. She put it to her mouth and took three big puffs.
I sighed. Her shoulders were beginning to slow and her breathing was regular. I sunk down to my knees in front of the bed. She scooted to the edge of the bed in front of me.
I didn't know I was crying until Brooke said something.
"Why are you crying, Harry?"
I wiped the tears from my face with the back of my hand.
I sniffled. "I didn't even know I was."
Brooke put my hands between her face and our foreheads pressed together.
"Thank you for saving me." she whispered.
"I just...I just care about you so much Brooke and when I see you hurting..."
"But I'm fine now. Thanks to you. My Superman."
I smiled and wrapped my arms around her waist. I kissed her softly on the cheek and for the rest of the night we laid in each others arms talking about all the crazy news articles that we were sure would be waiting for us in the morning.
