A/N: Ok, well, it took about two hours, but I think I have some serious drama planned. :) I really think that it was worth the hours of planning, because I think this is going to work out really well. I wish I could give you guys a hint, but whenever I give out hints I always end up giving something away. So that's out of the question. I guess you'll just have to read to find out. A happy new year to all of you. ;)

Also, I'd just like to say thanks to all of you that have been reading and commenting, especially @ThereAndBackAgain.  This chapter is dedicated especially to you.

Dear Journal,

I almost can't take this anymore. Why won't I just die already?! Serenity says that Trent was just trying to mess with my head, but I'm almost certain that he wasn't! I'm going to die tomorrow at the next game! Why couldn't I just die instead of Ashley?! I think this island is making me go insane!

Maybe I'm not making any sense. Reading that paragraph over, I realized that it's sort of just a bunch of sentences all mashed together. But it's true! I really think I'm about to go insane! Paranoia is taking me over! I guess I just... Can't let it.

I can't. Ashley would've wanted me to stay sane, and win the games for her... Right?

Charlotte's P.O.V

Dear Journal,

I'm alive. I can't believe it. I'm still alive.

I'm so shaken, I can barely write this paragraph. But I have to... I have to tell you what happened today. I can't believe people have already gotten so desperate. The only problem is... I'm really scared now. I think everyone else is too, especially those two girls, Violet and Olivia.

Olivia has acted really paranoid ever since then... She seems to think people will blame her for it. Could she be the one? Violet has been acting normal, except for the fact that she acts sort of edgy around Olivia. Then again, everyone has been acting edgy around Olivia lately. Everyone has been whispering about her, and I hate to admit it, but... Me and Serenity have too. Still though, she seems to be acting even more edgy than everyone else. Could she know something we don't? Anyway, I guess I'll tell you how it happened.

Well, it started out exactly how the first game started out. We met Trent at the same spot as last time, but this time, there were tree stumps for us all to sit on, and, of course, there was no cannon. And in its place, there was... Nothing. I didn't think that was right. Did Trent cancel the game again?

"Hello, again, campers!" Trent greeted us cheerfully. I didn't know what HE had to be cheerful about. One of us was probably going to die today. "It's time again for your 2nd game! Hopefully none of you will die this time..."

As he said that, he glanced at an empty spot next to me and Serenity; The place where Ashley stood (or in this case, would have sat,) last time we met here. I glared at him, but he didn't seem to notice me. I'm pretty sure that he was being sarcastic when he said hopefully. If he didn't want us to die, he wouldn't have hosted these games. He wouldn't of forced us to come here. And I wouldn't be so frightened right now.

"Today, your challenge is to find the treasure chest I've hidden somewhere in this forest," Trent said mysteriously. He then gestured to the fields and fields of trees, which I hadn't even noticed were in front of us until then. Maybe it was because of the absence of the giant, deadly cannon... "First person to reach it and press the button near the lid gets to keep what's inside. You may use any method to reach the chest."
