Again

Chapter 3 - One less problem

On Monday, I go to my office as usual. I place his coffee and document he need for today after that I go to my desk and check my emails, I heard someone is walking closer so I stand up and great him

"Hello sir, good morning"

"Hello Ms.Adelson, can you please inform Mr.Jonas about the report I ask him"

"Okay sir,sir I need to speak with you"

"Okay, follow me"

I grab my resignment and then follow him, he already sit and take a sip on his coffee. i gulp really hard, its become harder than I thought, I approach him and place my resignment on his desk but before I speak he cut me first

"I know what it is Ms. Adelson, I am really sorry about what happen to you and I understand if you want to quit. I assume that you are going to move from here isn't it?"

"Yes sir"

"I wil write a resume for you, you can go back to work and pack your stuff"

"Thank you sir, I owe you"

"Darling it's me, are you alright"

" I'm sorry I cant call you last night natalia"

"Its okay, can we meet at Mastro's for lunch"

"I'll be there"

I stare at my phone for awhile, what should I tell her about my moving. I know she can be a little -over- emotional but I know I should tell her no matter what. When its lunch time, I rush out my building and stop a taxi, I get text from natalia saying that she's already there. "I'm sorry, I'm late"

"its okay, we need to order first" She called the waiters and said that she want tenderloin steak and sparkling water while I want a filet mignon and sparkling water. When the waiters leave us I know that natalia will start asking me, but I still don't know how to tell her about the moving and how she will react to it

"Theresa, please don't hate me and tom. We really sorry about what our son do to you, he's an asshole I don't care if he is my son but im sure you didn't deserve any of these"

"I'll never hate you and tom, I'm still considering you guys as my parents. I'd be lying if I said that I'm fine because I'm not, its hurt natalia. I need to tell you something natalia, I'll be leaving this Friday I hope you can tell tom about it but please don't tell james. He is with someone else now and have a children on the way, I want to start a new life. But you and I both know its not here, I'll call you and maybe visit you when I come here"

to my surprise she didnt crying or something "I understand, I'll not tell james about this and please call me when you arrive. I know as much as I want james with you I cant change anything, I'll have a grandchild from gina but I don't think she will make a good mother"

"Don't be like that natalia, maybe she'll change once the baby is born, if I change my number I'll text you first so you can know its me"

She just nodded because our food is here, we didn't talk about james again so its fine. We bid our goodbye once we were outside, my phone start ringing and I answer it without looking who is it because I see a taxi is coming my way, once im in I start talking

"Yes hello"

"Please don't hang up, I need to talk to you. Are you alright? Where are you? Why didn't you reply my messages?"

"it's not your business anymore, goodbye james"

When I reach the office, there is a note on my desk saying that Mr. Adams is would like to see me once I'm come back from lunch but when I enter his office, he only give me my resume and tell me that I can go home now then he already called security to help me and his driver to take me home. I check my desk incase I left something, I bid my goodbye to everyone on my way. I know I only work here for a year and half but its really a nice experience plus Mr. Adams is a great boss too. We reach emma's house, I didn't let Mr. Adams driver to bring my stuff knowing that he will be needed soon and its not that heavy so he left.

I text emma telling her that I'm already home and give my resignment to Mr. Adams, to kill the time I started looking for apartment in manhattan and found a good one, it's a brick apartment looking, its two floors, a spiral staircase, three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a modern kitchen appliances, a nice neighborhood and the location is strategic. I send the apartment pict and explain everything to emma and she said yes, so I contact the person who own it and made a deal to buy the apartment once he said yes I feel one of my problems is being solve. I know emma is busy so im trying to help her by looking for the apartment even though she said leave it to her, it's the last thing I could do for her.
