Katherine’s POV:
I wake up, I don’t know how many hours later. My wet hair still clings to my face, but I’m wrapped in a towel and…in Harry’s arms? I rack my brain trying to figure out what had happened. Then it hits me. The party. Getting thrown in the pool. I must’ve looked so stupid as Harry had to come rescue me. Still, I’m too exhausted to give it much more thought, so I sit up and turn to Harry, who is smiling from ear to ear.
“You’re awake!” he exclaims.
I just give him a confused look and he starts to get up.
“Sorry, you must be freezing. I’ll get you something to put on,” he says, going into his room.
He comes back a minute later with a black Ramones t-shirt and grey sweatpants.
“They might be a little big, but it’s probably better than staying in your soaking clothes,” he says, holding the clothes out to me.
I smile and take them into the bathroom. I quickly change and look at myself in the mirror. As baggy as the clothes are, the smell of them comforts me a little. I head back out and see Harry grinning.
“Still beautiful even in sweatpants,” he comments.
I look down at my attire and frown.
“Not exactly,” I reply, letting out a sigh.
Just then, the front door swings open, and four girls I don’t recognize barge in.
“Is Katherine okay??” one of them demands.
“Yeah, she’s fine. Where are the boys?” Harry says.
“Waiting for you! You’re supposed to take Katherine to the doctor’s office,” another girl replies.
“Okay, I’ll take her there now. By the way, Katherine, these are some of my friends. Kamar, Cleo, Marissa, and Lucy. Come on, let’s go,” Harry says, taking my hand.
The girls come too, still chatting about the party. I honestly can’t understand half of what they’re saying, though, because I’m still a little disoriented. So we head to the lobby and take the back way down to the parking garage, where Harry’s car is waiting for us. We all hop in.
“I’m a little confused. What happened last night?” I ask.
“Some idiot threw you in the pool, and I guess you couldn’t swim, because Harry had to jump in and save you,” Kamar replies.
“That’s why we’re taking you to the doctor’s to have you checked out. Just in case you have a concussion or something,” Lucy adds.
When we finally get to the hospital, the girls help me out of the car, because by now I’m feeling a little lightheaded. My eyes seem to be a lot more sensitive to the sunlight, so I have to squint. Harry notices this and hands me his black Ray Bans.
“Hey, babe, put these on. I don’t want you hurting your eyes,” he says with a smile.
Okay, now I’m definitely missing something. First giving me his clothes to wear, then taking me to the doctor’s, and now this sudden concern for my vision? I just go along with everything as they check me in to see the doctor. We wait a few minutes in her office, as I sit on the examining table, probably looking ridiculous in black Ray Bans, a Ramones shirt, and sweat pants that are way too big for me.
