I wake up to the smell of food. I gotta say this shit smell good as fuck. It was enough to make me get out of bed and go downstairs to check out the source. I walk into the kitchen to see Serenity standing at the island with 4 foam containers.
"Finally yo ass up" Serenity said sliding me a foam to-go container. I open it up and I tell you I could have died happy right there...after eating of course
"Thanks you didn't have to" I told her
"It's fine it was your parents money anyway"
"Right well thanks still, where are the twins" I asked looking around
"There upstairs still I was just about to go get them"
She leaves to go get them and I continue to eat until the sound of my phone going off prompts me to stop. I look and see that Nicki texted me.
Nicki: Girly you wanna hang out today?
Me: Sure where
Nicki: The mall and since Ik yo ass don't have a car I'll come pick you up around 2 be ready
Me: Bet
Looking at the clock I see that it's 11:27 giving me enough time to take a shower and get ready before she come.
"Neyney" I hear Trinity call. I turn around to see thing 1 and 2 standing in their pajamas rubbing their eyes definitely looking like they just woke up
"Hi Trinity"
"Meanie" Treyvon said walking past me
"I didn't do nothing" I told him
"You didn't say hi to me" he said pouting. "Aww I'm sorry lil man...hi"
"Hiii" he said perking up
"Alright you two let's get some food into you" Serenity said
"Ok Nini" Trey said. Nini?
I laughed at the name and she glared at me. "Shutup" she said placing the twins in the chairs surrounding the island
"Can we go to the park pleaseeee" Trinity begged
"Later after you eat" Serenity said while giving her food to her. She's very good with kids
"Neyney you wanna come" Trey asked me. "Wish I could bud but I told Nicki that we would hang out today"
"Ok" he said them went back to eating his food. 'Well damn don't make a fuss about it' I thought sarcastically
After eating, taking a shower, and putting some clothes on it was around 1:30. I decided to go in the basement and see what was going on before I left.
"Sup" Serenity said watching family feud wow I thought only my grandparents watched this.
"Sup...so family feud"
"Don't hate it's funny sometimes and I like guessing just stfu about it" I could tell she was embarrassed and I couldn't help but laugh which earned a glare return from her
We sat there in silence other than the occasional laugh or comment from one of the twins who were on the floor behind the couch drawing. After about 3 episodes I get a text from Nicki saying she outside so I bid them a goodbye and go out to her car.
When get in the car she's full on blasting Best Friend by Saweetie. She really knows how to welcome a person
"That's my best friend she a real bad bitch" she said pointing my way. I couldn't help but laugh
"Girl would you shutup and drive" I tell her laughing. She joins in but soon backs out the driveway heading in the direction of the mall
After we get in the mall she's immediately dragging me into all types of stores like she really got the money. She finally let us rest in the food court after she got tired
"So I saw Serenity was there" Nicki said taking a sip from her drink
"Yeah she was" I could tell she was getting at something but what I couldn't tell.
"Hmm y'all been at each others throats less lately and I always catch one of y'all staring at the other sooo I guess what I'm trying to say is...is there something going on" she asked and to say I was shocked was putting mildly
"No!" I screamed just a little to loud. "Sorry but no idk what your talking about"
"Ok ok I'll let it go" she said. "Anyway guess what" she spoke excitedly
"Wassup" I answered. "Anthony finally asked me out" she was geeking at this point
"Oh really after 3 damn months of pining over him" I said smirking. "Ok shutup wit all that" she said trying to hide her smile
"Y'all would be cute or whatever but we leaving for college soon" I told her
"I know but that's like 4 months away and we don't even know if we got in yet"
"Don't talk like that dummy" I told her she need to think positively we getting in I just know we are
"You right I'm sorry but foreal it's just a little fling for right now nothing serious promise"
"Yeah ok...can I ask you something" I asked staring to get nervous
"I offer the best advice so of course" she said throwing her long pressed out hair over her shoulder. Cocky ass
"So...what if maybe...you were right about the whole Serenity thing" I asked closing my eyes shut scared of her reaction
"I would say fina fucking lly it took you long enough" she said yelling but loud enough for only me to here. Wait what's that supposed to mean?
"Wait what" I asked. "I mean that y'all been beating around the bush since fucking freshman year I mean the sexual tension was heavy wit all the glare sessions and y'all always secretly staring at each other from afar but never acting on it" she explained like it was obvious
"Wait what!" I did not know we was doing that.
"Girl if you don't shutup before we get kicked out and yes it was obvious at least it was to me idk bout the boys" she said shrugging "but I mean I don't mind it y'all would be cute together if I'm honest and I'm sure everybody else would agree...well except for Miles" she continued
I was stunned I didn't even know what to say. Me and Serenity? Sexual tension? I had so many questions. I didn't get any answer tho cause she dragged us off to more stores until she got tired and decided it was time to go. After she dropped me off at home I immediately went to my room and crashed.
