Chapter 6 : A Friend

   They're seated right across from each other. However the sound of their utensils and the chirping birds was all they can hear. Both are too shy to start a conversation.

   But the most pressure is on Dahyun. She can see her cousins watching them from a far, with teasing looks on their faces. Remembering the words her Grandma said earlier she cleared her throat and spoke.
  
    "I hope you're enjoying your stay here." She tried not to sound awkward and be more soft. The brunette just nodded her head and proceeds to eat. Another moment of silence passed before Dahyun spoke again. "Can I take you out on a date?" She asked which got the brunette off guard and choked on her toast. Dahyun hurriedly went by her side and handed her a glass of water which soothed her right away.

   From a far, Jisoo, Seulgi and Suho are laughing and worried at the same time. "What a disaster." Jisoo commented while chuckling.

   "I'm so sorry.. A-Are you okay now? No need for a doctor?" Dahyun was being to concerned for Sana's liking which got the latter frustrated. "Can you. Just. Stop it?! We're getting married, I know! If being too sweet and caring is what they asked you to do, well drop it! I don't need it!" Then she stands up to walk away, leaving Dahyun dumbfounded. She could just utter a soft and inaudible "Sorry" as she watch Sana walk away from her.

   "Guys? What now?" Suho asked as they too got shocked of what just happened. "I guess we should leave them be." Seulgi suggested as she starts to step back and walk away.

   "I hope Princess Sana is alright." Nayeon sighed dramatically, annoying Jeongyeon in the process. "Oh please, don't be like that, Prince Junho won't do anything to her." Well Dahyun won't do anything stupid, she's too nervous. Jeongyeon thought as she shook her head. "Whatever." Nayeon rebutted as she rolls her eyes. Not long after their bickering came walking pass them the frustrated Japanese Princess. Mumbling incoherent words to herself. "Your highness, wait!" Nayeon hurriedly followed her and as for Jeongyeon she abruptly ran towards the gazebo where she found Dahyun sitting on the steps, thinking and sulking. "Dubs what are you doing? What happened?" Jeongyeon asked worriedly. "She yelled at me.. She thought I'm only acting nice.. Well I am acting but I'm not acting nice.. She hates me." Dahyun looked bothered and confused. "What's your plan now?" Jeongyeon sighed and sat beside her. "I dont know." Dahyun grumbled and buries her face in her hands. "I somehow understand her though.." Jeongyeon stated and looked at Dahyun before she continue. "I mean, she just arrived to a foreign country with a sole purpose which is marriage.. Who wouldn't be frustrated." Dahyun bobbed her head in understanding the point. And so the taller girl asked again. "So.. What's the plan?"

    Dahyun gave her a sinister smirk before answering. "No more nice Princess Dahyun for her."

   It's already 12:00 pm in the afternoon. Almost everyone is present in the dinning table for lunch. "Has anyone seen Junho?" The Queen mother asked while looking around.

   The three crackheads of a cousin shared a look before looking at Sana. The brunette notices and gives them a questioning look. "Where's Junho?" Seulgi asked directly, gaining the Queen mother's attention. "That's right, Sana where is Junho? You had breakfast with him earlier, did he say where he's gone on to?" Sana gave them an apologetic smile and shook her head timidly. "What a shame, it's going to be our first lunch together with his future bride. I'm really sorry Sana." The Queen mother tapped her hand and gave her a small smile.
    "Enough of this Mother. I'm sure he's just studying some papers in my office. Now let's eat." The King spoke with much uninterest.

   The quiet dinning room got once interrupted when Suho spoke. "I believe we haven't been properly introduced. I'm Suho, Junho's Cousin." He beamed enthusiastically. "And I'm Seulgi! The cutest!" She even winked at the brunette and chuckled. "And I'm Jisoo, also Junho's cousin.. Nice to finally meet you Princess Minatozaki." A cheerful grin formed on her face as she introduced herself.

   "Nice to meet you too." Sana again, timidly replied. Then the dinning room's door opened revealing a man wearing a black suit and shirt. "I saw Junho at the library, he's not going to eat lunch." The man informed as he sits beside his father– the Duke. "That's Jackson, he's also our cousin. His sister is in England, that's why she's not here." Seulgi informed the confused brunette.

   After that lunch Sana went straight back to her room and sat on the window seat and gaze outside. She didn't even notice Nayeon sitting on her bed. "What's the matter Princess?" Sana flinched a little, she got a little startled by the bunny girl.

   "Nothing." Sana then hugged her knees tighter and rested her cheek on them.

   Nayeon was about to stand and  leave to give her space but then the brunette sighed and stopped hesitating and contemplating. "I lashed out at him." The brunette confessed getting a little embarrassed. "He seemed so sweet and caring but I yelled at him.. That sweet side of him reminded me of Mina, my cousin. He's worried and caring side reminded me of Momo, my other cousin. While seeing his face makes me so angry because I'm reminded that I don't have much freedom left before and after our wedding. I miss home so much already but I have a responsibility." Sana groans and hides her face with her arms. Then she peaks to looks at the shocked Nayeon. "I'm sorry.. Now I ranted everything to you.." She hides her face again, embarrassed of what she just did. Nayeon just chuckles at her cuteness. "It's okay, your highness.. I can be your walking dairy to if you'd like. And I'm so sorry if you're feeling that way, I wish I could do something to help you." Then the brunette suddenly raised her head and smiled genuinely happy for the first time. "Then be my friend."
