Chapter 12 : Bro... (pt. 2)

          The ride back to the palace was filled with dead silence.. Sana finds it weird since the two older girls can't stand just breathing the same air as the other, but now they're acting unusually quiet..

          Sana then just shrugs it off, thinking: "May be it's just another lover's quarrel.." She giggles quietly.

          Mean while, Jeongyeon just took a quick glance at Nayeon.. The girl's deep in her thoughts– staring at the view outside the car's window. Deep inside, Nayeon feels very uneasy after finding out the truth about the Prince Junho she's interacting with, she also feels like there's something more to this whole shenanigans of them than just trying to help with easing the Palace people's worry.. Then Nayeon sighs– it's an oddly long one, like she's tired. Jeongyeon could only roll her eyes discretely. "This dramatic grandma, seriously.."

          "Princess Sana, I'm sorry I haven't been entertaining you as soon as we got inside this car.." Nayeon apologizes with a toothy smile. Sana just smiles amusedly at her. "It's fine.. You must've been tired.."

          "No!... Well Jeongyeon dropped a few truth bombs and annoying excuses earlier but I can manage... How about you?.." Nayeon's blabbering alarmed Jeongyeon while it just made Sana smile a little. "Ahmm.. Prince Junho and I had a lot of fun... He even won me plushie!" Sana answers enthusiastically.. "How about you and Jeongyeon?.." Sana asks and Nayeon could feel Jeongyeon glaring at her from the rearview mirror..

          Nayeon intended to do that(not really) to rattle Jeongyeon up, so the blonde wouldn't try to mess with her anymore– at least.. Smugness is swelling with Nayeon's pride that she could easily swerve her way out of the hot seat and tht she insisted to Jeongyeon that Chaeyoung should know.. Reasoning that, Chaeyoung is one of the best, she's best friends with Dahyun and that the kid idolizes Jeongyeonn.. Of course the last part made Jeongyeon's pride and ego swell so she agrees not only that, she believes in the baby beasts abilities as a fellow guard too..

          However, Nayeon feels a little guilty.. Because she's lying to her new found friend, who wholeheartedly trusted her since the first day she could diss the Prince in front of a royal heiress..  But then again... She loves to keep her pretty head– face where it is and doesn't plan on losing it anytime soon... Knowing fully how bad the king gets when he's in a bad mood alone..

          "Jeongyeon confessed to me earlier.." Nayeom acts like a giddy highschooler. This big news(fake gossip) earned a loud gasp from Sana and a loud "WHAT THE HECK?!!" from Jeongyeon.. The car's sudden stop made a loud screech– Sana and Nayeon holding onto their seats for their dear life as Jeongyeon panics.. Nayeon immediately sooths the Princess and checks up on her for some injuries, Nayeon was more than glad to know there were none.

          "YAH!!! YOO JEONGYEON!! ARE YOU TRYING TO KILL US!!!!??? JUST TELL ME IF YOU HAVE A DEATH WISH AND I WILL GLADLY END YOU MYSELF!!!" Nayeon screamed in anger. "Just stop saying stupid things like that!!!" Jeongyeon screams back, fear and panic visible on her face. She's being paranoid that's what's up with her. Her "fear" of having someone(explicitly Nayeon) knowing about their little secret just rills her up. "What?!!" Nayeon just doesn't know how and when to give up. "Nayeon, I swear..." Jeongyeon tries to come up with a threat but she can't, because it's the opposite, she's in a very complicated and dangerous situation and Nayeon has the upper hand.

          Nayeon only shoots her a very intense glare af if to say: "Try me.. I can get rid of you anytime.." Of course Jeongyeon is left with the only option of giving up. "Please, whoever is up there.. Please give me enough patience and strength so I can stop myself from strangling that grandma.." Jeongyeon prays silently then sighs, for that she could do, for now..
