It was time for Lauren's part in No Way. She had been dreading it all night. To say today had been shit was an understatement and now she had to sing a song that hit way too close to home.
Lauren was torn. She wanted nothing more than to forgive Camila, in fact she wasn't even mad at her anymore. She understood why Camila felt like she couldn't come out. Lauren too was scared but she was ready. Well as ready as she felt she would ever be.
Lauren was up and as the first few words slipped though her lips she felt her resolve break. It was too much. The words, standing next to Camila, seeing Shawn freaking Mendes in the crowd. Lauren couldn't contain her emotions any longer. She had broken.
As she opened her mouth, the words escaped her, all that came out was a stifled sob. As she knelt down she couldn't help but wish she had to power to change everything.
If it were up to her she would have read that damn contract better or at least asked for help. She would have gone straight to management the moment her and Camila were official, and she would have told them she was going to come out. She wouldn't have to be afraid or feel ashamed. She would be free.
But Lauren couldn't change anything, and here she was crying on stage in front of millions of people about a relationship that no one knew about. Life had a pretty shitty sense of humor.
As the concert came to a close Lauren still had no idea what she was going to do. She knew what she wanted; it was the same thing she had wanted since that day in Miami, she wanted Camila. The fact of the matter was however, did Camila want her? Could they even make it work?
As she made her way back to wardrobe to change into her clothes to head to the hotel she felt someone pull her into a nearby room.
"What the...?" Lauren was immediately cut off by Camila's lips on hers. She wanted nothing more than to melt into those gorgeous lips she loved so much. God Camila had the most amazing lips, kissing Camila was one of Lauren's favorite parts of being in a relationship. She could get lost in Camila's kiss.
Lauren quickly grabbed Camila by the hips and lifted her up around her waist. She hadn't kissed Camila in what felt like months and she certainly wasn't going to miss out on the chance to now. Fuck being mad and confused. Right now she had her girl in her arms and that's all that mattered to her.
As she pressed Camila against the wall hidden behind the door, she deepened the kiss. She kissed Camila as if this would be the last kiss she ever gave her. Her tongue swiped along Camila's teeth begging entrance and as Camila accepted her request, Lauren couldn't help but groan and push Camila further into the wall.
Camila bit Lauren's lip eliciting a slight squeal from the other girl. Camila knew what that did to Lauren. She knew that was her weakness. Lauren was on cloud nine. She knew they would have to talk about everything and figure out where their relationship stood but in that moment nothing mattered more to the two girls, than being in each other presence and feeling the way their body's so perfectly fit together.
Just as Lauren brought her lips to Camila's neck the door they were standing behind swung open. Lauren immediately held Camila still. "Fuck!" Camila mouthed to Lauren.
It was if seconds had turned to hours. The only thing Lauren could hear was the blood rushing to her ears. She could already see it. Whoever it was that had just caught them would run straight to management and they would be fucked. Camila would magically get a boyfriend and Lauren, well Lauren would probably have to go out on new dates every time they were in a new city.
"Lauren!" Camila said loudly.
"Huh?" Lauren jumped out of her trance.
"Baby I said that was close. We almost got caught?" Camila replied. She was laughing now. She knew Lauren froze in times of stress, she just had never witnessed it before.
"Oh shit, are they gone? I'm sorry Camz I was freaking the fuck out. What happened?" Lauren felt the weight lift off her shoulders at Camila's words. They were fine. No one had caught them.
"Come on you silly goose, I'll tell you later. You and I have a date tonight." Camila winked as she led Lauren out of the room.
