The first test was broomstick flying. Most had succeeded, some failed, but the one who stood out the most was Yuno.
'Just by observing this, we can get a good idea of what kind of mages they are. There are a quite a few candidates this year.' Charlotte thought while looking around for anyone who might've stood out to her. She then turns her head towards Shizuka and signs her to come closer. Shizuka who was standing there like a stone got the message and got closer and slightly bent over.
"Would you like to join the exams as an example?" Charlotte whispered. "You mean you just want to show off, right?" Shizuka states the obvious. An arrow hits Charlotte straight in the head. "Well yeah, but I know you don't want to stand here all day."
The redette sighs. "Alright, later" Charlotte looks the other way and slightly punches her right arm in the air while cheering. The masked girl goes back into her position, not noticing the stares she got from specific strong people. After all, not everyone knows how her face looks like. Nozel then excuses himself, no one really caring he left.
Shizu looks down at the arena and stares at Asta. 'He still going for it..'
"That's amazing, damn it!" Asta yells in jealousy. "Loosen up, all right?" some random man says, flying on his broomstick. 'Why don't you loosen up your uptight ass..' Shizu thinks to indirectly cursing at the fake man.
"Hey, you're a decent guy. I still can't float." Asta admits. 'Boi not even. Don't even go there.'

Down in the halls of the arena, Noelle tries to encourage herself, but is stopped by Nozel. "What are you doing?" Nozel asks the obvious. "Oh, I'm...um..." she stutters. "I told you. There's no need for royalty to take the same exams as peasents."
Shizu who has good hearing heard the conversation from afar, looks in the direction of the voice. Siblings..huh. "Charlotte, I'll be back." "Alright be quick."
She then disappear and appear next to Nozel. "Nozel, you are needed back in your chair, William's orders." Noelle and Nozel were caught off guard as they didn't feel her mana nor hear her coming. Nozel nods and looks back at his sister "Remember what I said." The male walks away as the silver haired girls says "Yes older brother."
Shizuka then looks at Noelle and appears back in her spot behind Charlotte, scaring the older female who was looking for her. "So what did you do?" the blondette asked. "I just went on a small errand for myself." she replies. Charlotte hums and looks back at the contestants.

As more tests happen, there were two more tests to take. It was a battle between contestants and after that, it was a game of tag featuring Kitsune. Well that was a secret. William allowed that because he wanted to see how the contestants would do in a cornered situation. Plus he wanted to see the girl in action.
Many contestants fought each other, some lost, some won, some got into a tie, some even died. JK JK no one died.
It was Asta's turn to fight and he fought the fakest man ever; Sekke Bronzazza. What kind of name is that?!
Asta stomps on the ground breaking it, pulling his sword out of his grimoire. 'He's fast. Is he using some kind of high-speed movement magic? He's almost as fast as Kitsune.' William observed. "No..He's just physically powerful.' Yami confirmed. 'I guess all that training has paid off huh, Asta' the redette reflected.
In a flash, Asta was in front of Sekke and slashed his sword at his "metal" barrier. "huh" "huh" "huh?" people around gasped. Yuno and Shizu smile proudly at their friend's accomplishment. Sekke was now knocked out.
'I'm going to be the one to defeat you, Asta!' Yuno mentally declares.

William then stands up from his chair and announces "We have one last test. This is a game of tag, you'll be using stickers to get your opponent out, but you won't be the one tagging. You'll be the one getting tagged." Everyone starts whispering wondering who'll be tagging them. "Kitsune will be it. So kitsune please stand forward."
The female steps out and silently jumps down to the arena, creating a crater in the cement with a big boom. Everyone coughs. The dust starts to clears up, to show a female in a black uniform, a blue rose cape, chestplate, mask, and Katana.
"You are able to use magic , but Kitsune isn't, and you have ten seconds to get ready." the captain of Golden Dawn explained. "1...2....3! Start!"
In a flash, most people were caught with blue rose stickers on their foreheads. Huh? that's what their face said. "What?! This isn't fair!" Some random person screamed. Shizuka who was across the arena was now in front of the man himself with a sticker now on his forehead.
Fire magic..
Metal magic...
Water magic...
Multiple people tried to take down the one and only Kitsune with magic, only to be stopped by a katana cutting through.
Charlotte looked so proud as most of the captains looked at her in envy for having such a good member. Charlotte's ego was boosted by a bunch.
Asta then charges at Shizu, not recognising it was his childhood friend, tries to slice through her sword. klink . Both swords clash. Asta gets kicked by the female in the face and is pushed back.
Yuno comes in with his wind magic, knowing it's Shizuka behind the mask. He had so many questions to ask, and so did Asta, even though he didn't know who was wearing the mask. The captains of each group were on the edge of their seats.
By now, everyone except Noble#1, Yuno, Asta, and Noble#2 were left.

Two nobles out. It was now the the three musketeers. Asta. Yuno, and Shizu stand in a triangle formation. Asta zooms towards Shizuka and attempts to slice her from above. She dodges and Yuno tries to surround her with wind, but she also moves to the side almost getting slashed in the face by Asta.
Shizuka backflips to create space between them. "I guess I should get more serious." Everyone was in shock, no one besides the people who were close to her know how her voice sounded like. Her voice, although sounded cold, also sounded like a soft melody.
She runs in a quick speed making it seem like she teleported and without giving Yuno time, she puts a sticker on his forehead. Now it was just her and Asta.
In a flash, both swordsman/woman are neck to neck. With every swing, Asta was getting tired. Shizu on the other hand was slightly sweating. Shizu underestimated him and was caught of guard when her mask was sliced in half, exposing her beautiful face.
GASP
Everyone looked shocked to see a beauty. Shizu immediately put a sticker on Asta's forehead while he was gawking at her, causing her to win.
