It had been three days since the non-date with Earth, AKA The Pameltdown.

There had been no Page 3 article about the incident, so it seemed like Earth had made good on his promise to keep me out of the newspapers.

On the flip side, I hadn't heard from him since that night, and I would have probably been obsessing over it and driving everyone crazy, had I not been too busy to throw a pity party for myself.

We had a new job.

"This is a special one, and came from a contact I made at the party. We must send a thank you note to Earth" said Wat, giving me the side eye.

The mention of the man of my dreams, whose sweet words I would have thought were from my dreams if I didn't have them in writing, made my heart twinge. But I decided to play it cool.

"We can send him something later if the event goes well" I said breezily.

"A quick overview - Thai BL star Aim Chanarong's sister, Fern is launching her jewellery line later this year, and wants to create some buzz ahead of time.

There are a lot of events being planned in the run-up, big and small. Most of them are being handled by her branding agency, but there is one private showing of her collection that she wants to hold for a select few A-listers from the industry.

She took a liking to Wat, God alone knows why, and has decided to try us out for this particular event."

Wat grinned boyishly, showing off the dimples that probably contributed to Fern's offer.

"I'm very likable, if only you'd try to see my charms" he said, winking at Pear, who giggled and winked back.

If ever I had to find someone to side with me against Wat, Pear would not be in the consideration list.

"Moving on", I continued sternly, "Fern has already chosen the venue. It is an art gallery owned by one of her friends.

All we have to do is assist with the decor, ensure the catering is top notch and get the right photographer for the evening.

We need the A-list attendees and the jewellery to be showcased beautifully.

The theme is being designed by Fern herself, and we will simply need to be shopping assistants for her.

The catering is sorted, thanks to Chef Gustad, who took home a princely sum from our orphanage event and has graciously agreed to work with us again."

Another thing to thank Earth for, and another pang made my chest tighten.

"The big concern here though is the photographer" cut in Wat. "Obviously for an event this exclusive, and with the jewellery pieces being the focus of the night, there is only one choice - Earn Rachanun.

But she is super choosy about her projects. If there is any way we can get her to do this, we would be on the A-list like that" he said snapping his fingers.

We had all read about Earn Rachanun. She was young, our age, but had already made her name internationally as a photographer with an extraordinary and unique eye.

Her photos had been called iconic, and a portrait shot by her was considered, and probably valued, akin to owning a Van Gogh.

She was also notoriously abrasive and a piece done on her by Vanity Fair cattily labelled her "obnoxious".

Of course, Earn's refusal to shoot their cover page because she thought the model was too boring, may have coloured their opinion.

"And how do you propose we do that? Maybe you could dance with her, like you did with Fern" said Ren sarcastically.
