Joaquin Torres one-shots

Surprise

"Give it back to me Torres !" Y/N shouted at him as he took her phone from her hands and he tried to look at what she was looking at on her phone. Luckily Y/N succeed to close the web page before he could see it.

"Nope I want to know why you were gesticulating so joyfully." Joaquin said as he stepped away from Y/N so she came closer to him to get her phone.

"Oh believe me this had nothing to do with you." Y/N said as she watched Joaquin opened her history so she almost yelled at him but suddenly a voice stopped them.

"Hey love birds can we start knuckling down or do I have to wait that you finish your business ?" Sam said to them as he sat on a chair next to Y/N.

"That's pretty ironic because we have been waiting for you since thirty minutes." Y/N said to Sam with a smirk as she took her phone from Joaquin's hands.

"Wow wow wow. If you want to argue with someone for my lateness, argue with grumpy." Sam said falsely offended with an hand on his heart.

"So what was going on ?" Sam asked really interested by the conversation that they had before he came. Sam knows Y/N and Joaquin Torres since the blip but they know each other since a long time before.

"He stole my phone." Y/N immediately accused Joaquin because she knew that he would feel uncomfortable to explain the story to Sam because he would consider them childish.

"Because she hid what she was doing from me. Since when do you keep secrets from me Y/N ?" Joaquin asked to Y/N as he got closer to her and Sam kept looking at them in silence but amused.

"Why do you even care ? Do I ask you what you are doing or why you are laughing when you're on your phone ?" Y/N asked to him as she stood up to go and see the bartender.

"Because you shouted of joy when usually you're not this expressive." Joaquin explained to her and he took his phone to show something to Sam.

"Well sometimes people change." Y/N said to him as she started to leave but Joaquin talked quickly before she left.

"Not between yesterday and today." Joaquin said to her with a smirk and she thought of taking a fork to put it in his eyes but she simply left as Joaquin started to explain things about the Flag Smashers. Y/N asked to the bartender three coffee and some pancakes for her.

"So what is bothering you ?" Sam asked to Joaquin when he finished his speech about the Flag Smashers.

"Sam have you not listen to me ? They want the society to be like it was before the Blip." Joaquin replied to him a little bit lost because Sam seemed to listen to him when he was explaining things.

"I'm not talking about this. I'm talking about Y/N, what's wrong ?" Sam said the beginning of his sentence with a little laugh, making fun of Joaquin.

"What ? Nothing is wrong with her."

"Yeah I know I'm not talking about her, I'm talking about you. Come on ! Tell me what's on your mind." Sam started to annoy him by pushing him a little on the shoulder and Joaquin stepped back after a moment.

"It's just...I think she is seeing someone." Joaquin said after a moment of silence and Sam sat deeply in his chair and he sighed.

"So that's it ? You're jealous ? I think you're just delusional because I think that she would have told you and I." Sam tried to reassure Joaquin but he could see that it didn't work.

"It's just-- I never saw her that happy before and the last she told me that she met a guy at gym." Joaquin explained to Sam but before Sam could answer Y/N came back and sat in her chair and Joaquin signalled to Sam to keep the secret.

"So guys what were you talking about ?" Y/N asked as she gave to Sam and Joaquin their coffee and she started eating her pancakes.

"Flag Smashers." Joaquin immediately replied taking some pancakes from Y/N's plate.

"Bucky." Sam said at the same time as Joaquin and both of them look at each others panicked while Y/N looked at them confused.

"What ?"

"We were saying that I will certainly explain to Bucky the situation with the Flag Smashers because it's getting worse." Sam explained quickly and naturally and Joaquin silently thanked him with a look. Y/N agreed and she suddenly hit Joaquin's hand.

"Hey ! It hurts !" Joaquin shouted at her with surprise and Y/N simply shrugged her shoulders clearly not caring about his complaints.

"Don't take my food and I won't hurt you." Y/N threatened him with her fork full of pancakes and Joaquin ate the pancake who was on her fork and he smirked at her.

"I'm going to kill you Torres. Twelve times with twelve different ways starting by strangle you with your own napkin." Y/N said to him and she turned her back to him to ignore him.

"Could you two stop acting like children in love for two second please ?" Sam asked to them with a serious look and Joaquin and Y/N started to sulk.

"I have a mission for you two. In Belgium. You will have to track a suspect group of criminals. You're going tomorrow." Sam explained to them and he drank a mouthful of his coffee.

"What is great with you is that we have the choice." Y/N retorted to him and Joaquin smiled at her mocking tone.

"Well if you want to tell to the government that you refuse it's your choice but you will have to deal with the consequences." Sam said to her and Y/N sighed of frustration. It's been since months that she didn't have a day off, same for Joaquin because they are often sent on mission together as a duo.

"Okay well let me finish my pancakes and we're back to the headquarters." Y/N said to them and they agreed and waited for her.

The morning after, Joaquin and Y/N were in Torgny in Belgium and they were walking to a place where the Flag Smashers were supposed to be but on the way Joaquin was still asking why Y/N was so happy yesterday.

"Oh my God, could you please stop with that for just one minute please ?" Y/N asked to Joaquin desperate as he just kept talking with taking any break.

"No. I want to know." Joaquin shook his head to show that he didn't agree with her proposition.

"Why ? Why does it matter so much to you ?" Y/N asked to Joaquin and he finally stopped talking for a while before trying to get out of the situation but he was stuttering.

"Oh, I finally found a way to make you shut up. I would like to thank my parents who have always believed in me--" Y/N started to make a speech to a wall and Joaquin looked hard at her.

"Okay now you're being ridiculous." Joaquin said to her and he walked faster to move away from Y/N but she noticed it and she immediately walked at the same speed as Joaquin.

"The one who's been ridiculous is you. Could you please admit to me what's the problem ?" Y/N said to Joaquin and she grabbed his arm to stop him and to make him look at her. Joaquin whispered something but Y/N didn't hear or at least she pretended that she didn't hear.

"I wanted to know if you were so happy because of the guy that you meet at the bar sent you a message." Joaquin admitted it and Y/N smiled at him but she was a little bit.

"No it wasn't because of him, he did send me a message but I never replied. I was not interested, but why does it bother you so much ?" Y/N asked to him as she got closer to him and he gave a "are you fucking kidding me" face.

"I want to hear it Joaquin, not just guess it."

"I guess it bother me because I kinda like you in a way that is something more than a friendly way." Joaquin admitted embarrassed and Y/N gave him a beaming smile. She took her phone out of her pocket and she unlocked and she went to her photos. Joaquin frowned totally confused and Y/N showed him a photo of two reservations for a concert of his favourite band. Joaquin took her phone, surprised and Y/N laughed a little at his reaction.

"Did you buy us two tickets for the concert that I've talk to you three months ago ?" Joaquin asked really happy ad he hugged Y/N tight.

"Who said it was for you ? I was thinking of bringing the guy that I met at the bar." Y/N made fun of him and he released her and gave to Y/N her phone.

"So now that you're reassured can we finally start the mission ?"
