"WAIT WHAT IF MARIA IS there? she's gonna try to fight me and i really don't have time for her today." i mutter, putting on my shoes. "she won't i promise, and if she does then just beat her ass. i don't know why you're trying to act like you don't know how to fight." natalia laughs, "you right, you right." i agree.

we walk out the door and begin walking to mattia's house, since it's down the street. "not y'all leaving me!" kairi says from behind. "walk faster shorty." natalia retorts.

once we get to his house, we were greeted by alejandro, roshaun, and robert who i'm assuming came together. "what if he kicks us out?" robert jokes, "he won't if i'm here." i laugh.

we walk into his house to be greeted by his mom, we walk down to his room but stop when we hear him and maria talking. well not talking, but arguing.

"so you're still in love with her?" maria yells, "yes! i have been this entire time!" he yells back.

"i wanna leave this is so awkward." i whisper-yell to natalia, "bitch you can't, you're the one who wanted to hang out anyways, am i right or am i right? okay then, shut up" she replies.

"whatever i'm leaving, just know she'll never treat you like i can" she scoffs. "oh and by the way, that slut alyssa you love so much, likes kairi" she lied.

what she said angered me because she has no idea what she's talking about.

i came out from hiding on the stairs and met her eyes. "why are you lying?" i question, "when did you get here?" she asks, ignoring my question. "i asked first, you answer my question first, slut."

"i- i'm not lying you know you like kairi!" she lies, again. "you can talk shit about me, but not him. leave my best friend out of this. second, i don't like kairi, i like someone else." i spat.

it's not that i ever fell out of love with mattia, it's just the fact that i lied to myself and tried to avoid my feelings for so long. so instead of going away, they've grown stronger.

"who?" she questions, "cause i know it's not mattia."

"you sure?" i say, giving her a sarcastic smile. "i- whatever i'm leaving."

she storms out of his room and leaves the house.

"wow what a show!" roshaun jokes, "i know right, who would've thought" natalia adds on.

"no, shut up." i say, trying to hide my embarrassment. "you still love me? aw" mattia jokes

"no." i deadpan.

i lied, yet again.
