I TIE MY HAIR INTO a low ponytail and put on some shoes and begin walking down the street to mattia's house.

all kinds of thoughts circulate my brain as i'm walking.

what if he doesn't love me like he says he does? what if he wants to go back to maria and this is his way of telling me? what if he asks me to be his girlfriend again?
what the fuck would i say if he does ask me out?

i finally approach his doorstep and nervously walk in, since he did mention the door would be unlocked.

i walk downstairs towards his bedroom and quietly walk in.

"hey" i say, waving at him from the stairs. he immediately drops his phone but feels relief brush over him when he realizes it was just me.

"we need to talk." he says, standing up and walking towards me.

oh god, is it bad?

"it's not a bad thing don't worry," he reassures me. "i know we've gone through a lot in the past year and i'm truly, genuinely sorry for all the pain i caused you throughout this whole situation. you deserve so much better than me and i'm trying to be a better person for you, i really am. and i just wanna know if i can get a second chance?"

i frown in confusion, "are you asking me to be your girlfriend again?"

"yes."

a huge smile erupts on my face, "yeah of course i'll be your girlfriend."

he holds his chest in relief, "i thought you were gonna say no, i was so scared."

"no, i would never."
