Chapter 1

"Not again!!"
I sighed as my hat flew with the wind. Barbatos really hates me, huh, I run back to try and grab it but as I almost got a hold of it I lost my balance and fell face first.
"Argh...."
I got up with a slight feeling of pain on my forehead. Looking down at my feet and seeing a small rock as I got up, I clearly forgot to look at where I was going. But now I have lost sight of my hat. Great...

Well it's a hat anyway there's got to be some cool hats in Liyue. Believing my judgment I continued my very very long walk to Liyue that was going to take the whole day or even more.

"Weird, usually I would have to fight some enemies when adventuring. It's awfully quiet..."
I thought to myself but decided to brush it off as just a really odd day.

I was exhausted to the point where I struggled to keep my eyes open. I really shouldn't have stayed up all night preparing everything I need for this, not my smartest move. I remember it being early morning when I left but now it's mid-day and I was almost halfway.

As tired as I was I wasn't focused on my surroundings and let my guard down. After a few seconds of rumbling that reminds me of some mechanic being...like a ruin guard. I look to my right only to see a ruin guard and its missiles ready to aim and shoot at me. After a moment of processing my eyes widened I didn't have the time to take out my weapon since the attack was already really close. I was about to dodge even just a little bit but before I could move an inch I felt someone grab me really quickly.

I look up to see an orange-haired man with a weird mask on his head. He had a mysterious aura to him and I'd never seen this man before. He might be from some other region.

"Wait a sec, okay?"
He let me down softly on the ground while taking his bow and charging at the ruin guard. The ground wasn't really comfortable but weirdly enough I slowly fell asleep. I guess I felt safe around this man that just saved my ass.

...

...

hmm...I fell asleep...I fell asleep!?
I quickly got up which was a bad idea as everything went black for a few seconds, another sad part of my routine is forgetting that I shouldn't get up so fast. I slowly could look around me and realized I was in a building. Almost like a tree kind of building.

I started to walk up to the door and slowly opened it. So this must be Wangshu Inn. I've heard about this place before when I accidentally heard some people talking about this place.

"Ah, you woke up! You seemed very exhausted when you were brought here, are you okay?"
Someone talked to me and I saw a lady.
I was still half asleep so after I was done processing that she was asking me I quickly replied.

"Oh me!? Ahh well... I didn't really sleep last night since I was gathering materials for my walk to Liyue harbor. I'm coming from Mondstadt so it's a bit of a walk..."

I scratched my head trying to get out of the conversation quickly.
Silence filled the room and I try to quickly change the topic without thinking. The lady was about to say something but before she could say anything I asked.

"Who brought me here? I remember falling asleep outside."
The lady was thinking for a moment and then she must have remembered based on her expression.

"He had orange hair and was kind of tall. I don't know his name though. He was kind enough to even paid for your visit here."

Ohh right the mysterious man...wait what- I barely have any money I don't know how to repay him!  I guess I better start working too when I get to Liyue harbor. 

"He also said to tell you to not worry about repaying. I guess he must be really kind to say something like that."

Ah well... okay.

"Thank you for letting me stay here. But I think I will continue my way to Liyue now. Bye and thank you very much!"

I waved my goodbyes and left Wangshu Inn. Feeling refreshed after a good sleep I kept on moving with still a long way to go. But that orange guy. What's his deal? I wonder if he lives in Liyue. But that wasn't my worry right now since I still had some way to go.
