With your eyes tightly closed and hands clasped together, knuckles turning white, you prayed so hard to see the results you had been wanting to see.
"What's taking you so long? I wanted to see the result, too!" your mother exclaimed and smacked you at the back of your head.
"Ouch! That hurt! I'm so nervous right now I think I'm going to faint," you replied without moving an inch, terrified of what's coming.
"Just open the goddamn email!"
You took a deep breath before placing your hand on the mouse of your desktop. This morning, you received an email from the prestigious college university you applied to. Being a student at Neo Unuversity was something you had been yearning ang dreaming about for the past four years. You thought about the several advantages once you graduated from such an elite university, job opportunities would surely rain down on you and employers would fight over you because of how competent and intelligent you were.
This was the key to your dreams and it would give you a boost and an edge.
Taking a deep breath and filling your lungs with air, you opened your eyes and clicked the email without hesitation.

Good day! We are pleased to inform you that you passed the NeoU 2020 entrance exam and now officially a (Course) first year student at Neo University .
The first semester will start at August 16, 2021. Attached in this email is the file of your class schedule and the books required for your subjects.
If you are living outside the city, please be informed that your presence is expected to arrive exactly a week before the first semester begins for orientation and school tour.

"You passed! I'm so proud of you! You're stupid most of the time but you had that smart genes in you! I'm so happy you used it this time!"
You didn't mind the backhanded compliments from your mother. You were just entirely happy that your dreams were starting to come true and this was just the beginning of the many wonders waiting for you. Grinning from ear to ear, you squealed and hugged your mother as you jumped together up and down.
