It's been ten minutes since Jaemin brought you to his car and left you for a while because he needed to buy something. He crossed the road to the convenience store to buy coffee for you so you could get rid out of the alcohol in your system. He also bought hangover medicine for you because a massive headache would surely be waiting to punish you tomorrow.

Minutes later, Jaemin left the convenience store with his purchases in a paper bag. He crossed the road and saw you leaning on the headrest with your eyes closed. He was still angry about earlier and he was disappointed he wasn't able to punch Seon-ok.

He carefully opened the door of his car, trying not to wake you up but when you heard the door open, your eyes fluttered opened.

"How are you feeling?" he asked and sat beside you. He handed you the paper bag and you dizzily rummaged through the contents.

"Still a little dizzy," you replied.

"Drink that coffee, it will help sober you up."

"Thank you, Jaemin."

You smiled at him but he only rolled his eyes at you. You didn't mind as you opened the cap of the iced coffee and put the lid between your lips. The bitter taste was strong but you didn't complain. After drinking five shots of soju bomb, the black coffee was nothing to you.

"Stay away from that man from now on," Jaemin said, breaking the silence.

You put the cold coffee on your cheek. "We're not even close in the first place. I'm really shocked that he would go to such extent."

"I hope he get expelled."

"I hope so, too. But that would be cruel since he's a graduating student."

"Who cares? People like him don't deserve a future," Jaemin said through gritted teeth and he gripped the steering wheel tightly. He distracted himself by looking at the peaceful surrounding outside, nighttime made the city serene.

"I know that. I'm just as angry as you are. But, I'm also thankful that a lot of people went for my rescue. I should thank Doyoung, too."

"Save that for tomorrow, that is if you can stand up when you have a massive hangover."

"Holy shit, I forgot the glorious aftermath of alcohol," you said sarcastically.

"Have you been drinking before?" Jaemin asked.

You shook your head but you regretted it right away because it made you nauseous. "No... I only tasted it back when I was still on our hometown. Everyone was so excited to be an adult so they could drink. I was curious what alcohol tastes like so I took a few sip.

Jaemin noticed how you casually said 'our hometown' but chose not to make a fuss about it.

He realized that you never really stayed the same. There were quite a few changes about you that he missed, which made him oddly sad. He imagined you when you celebrated your legal age, surrounded by your friends back in your hometown. Everybody was drinking alcohol and you took a sip. He imagined how your face twisted in disgust when the bitter taste spread within your mouth.

He wished he was there to witness you during your milestones as you aged.

"Jaemin? What are you staring at?" you asked when you noticed him spacing out while looking at your face.

Jaemin woke up from his daze and spoke, "Tell me about your friend."

"Which friend?" you asked. You were thinking of Giselle and Haechan because they were the ones you consider your friend as of now. The others still remain as an acquaintance.
