Kiki’s pov:

Jim, Toby and I were in Trollmarket, Jim was training for his match with Draal while I was practising my powers and Aaaarrgghh and Toby were watching Jim train. Blinky was guiding Jim through his training and reminding him of the first rule, always be afraid. In the corner of my eye I saw Jim blank on his sword. I smirked and shot light at him, knocking him down.

"Arrogance gets you killed." I said.

"Yeah, I'll have to remember that. Thanks kit-kat." Jim groaned. I just smiled.

"Draal however, does not fear you. That will be his weakness, but not you. You'll be wetting your armor. That will be his strength." Blinky said. My eyes widen.

"Did I hear that right?" I whispered.

I turned to Toby and to my surprise he was actually exercising. 

“Tobes, what are you doing?” I asked him.

“What? If Jim’s getting fit then so should I. If I’m gonna have your backs, I gotta be nimble.” Toby answered. Even Aaarrrgghh was coping Toby and I just chuckled a bit.

I went back to watching Jim, not paying attention to Toby. He was slicing all the dummies. A piece came at me but I burned it in time.

"You know, I think being afraid is the one rule that I- oh!" Before Jim could continue his sentence, I shot fire at him which he ducked and it hit another dummy. "I excel at."

"No, Master Jim. You must excel at all three. If trolls are ever going to embrace you as Trollhunter, you must ignore your humanly instincts." Blinky told Jim. He looked at me and swung his sword back, throwing it at me.

"For the love of Merlin!" I screamed and dodged to the side, making the sword hit a dummy.

“Do that, and I have no doubt you will defeat Draal.” Blinky stated to Jim.

“Or he must keep me from seeing Kiki.” Jim said.

“Jim, we’ve been over this. Draal’s like a big brother to me. He’ll get overprotective when he wants to.” I said. 

I heard laughing and looked over to see Draal and another Troll coming in, laughing. Draal said something to Jim and scoffed. He went over to me and patted my head. I made a pouting face even though I like head pats. He then walked away saying something I couldn't understand. Jim put his out at me like saying 'see!'.

"Let your fear keep you alive. Let his arrogance lead him astray. Defeat him… and you'll make history."Blinky reassured Jim.

Speaking of history, our class has a trip to the museum. All of us were standing outside the museum as the owner Ms Nomura was giving a small speech. Mr. Strickler stopped her from going any farther and told all of us to explore on our own. I went with Claire as we looked at a painting by the railings. I titled my head a bit. It was a painting of the battle of Killahead just the humans didn't know that but I swear I see a little girl that looks just like me in the corner. Claire nudged my shoulder, snapping me out of my thoughts.

"What?" I asked.

"Someone's staring at you." She said and painted somewhere. 

Before I could look though Steve grabbed my hand and pulled me towards the dresses. I smiled his hand with my other, making him let go. I decided to try and get on his nice side, just to make sure he has nothing else planned for Jim.

"Look at that embroidery." Claire said.

"It's really pretty." I added.

“Hey, sorry if you two got caught up in that little tiff between Lake and I, but I want you to know, since joining the play, I feel like there’s another side of me that really wants to come out.” Steve said, ‘sweetly.’
