Kiki’s pov:

Ms. Lake cleared me from the hospital but she wanted me to come with her to the police station. Turns out, Jim and Toby got arrested for breaking into the museum. I knew I shouldn’t have left them behind. Jim and Toby soon got in the car and saw me. There was something also in the back of the car. So I had to sit in Jim's lap.

"Hey Kiki." Toby said nervously.

"I thought-" I cut Jim off.

"I got discharged. I knew I shouldn't have left you two behind." I facepalmed.

"Then you would have to explain why you were out of the hospital." Toby said.

"Are you at least ok?" Jim asked, worried.

"I'm fine." I blushed when I felt his arms around my waist as he hugged me.

"Good. I'm sorry for hitting you with that dodgeball."

"It's ok. I know you didn’t mean to."

“What about the human/troll?” Toby asked.

“I’ll tell you later. You two said you saw something when you were escaping Ms. Nomura.”

Toby shows us the photo on his phone from the museum.

“No, it can’t be.” I said with a stutter.

“What is it?” Jim asked.

“That’s the Killahead Bridge. They’re trying to break Gummar out!”

"This is bad." Toby said.

"We have to tell Blinky and Aaarrrgghh." Jim said. We heard Barbra come in the car. I handed the phone to Toby.

"You really didn’t have to go through all this trouble,Mr. Strickler." Barbara said as I saw Mr. Strickler looked Through the window besides me and Jim.

"Please, "Walter." I'm sorry we had to meet under this unfortunate circumstance." 

"There must be some way I can repay you. Coffee? Dinner? Appendix removal?"

“I… Coffee would be a delight. And a rain check on the appendectomy.”

“Looking forward to it, Walter.”

Mr. Strickler turned to me and Jim.

“Watch yourself, Young Atlas. Next time, the consequences could be more severe. And Miss Kiki, I’m looking forward to seeing you in my class tomorrow.” he said to us both then left. Jim looked at his mother.

"Did you actually just ask my teacher out on a date?"He asked.

"Don't make this about me, mister. You two broke into a museum!" Barbra pointed at Jim and Toby. She held up the chubby tracker.  "And for this? You are grounded until you apologize to that woman." She started to car. "You got me?"

"Yes mom" 

"Yes Dr.Lake" Toby said. I kinda just felt a little awkward here.

Dr. Lake brought me home first then left with Jim and Toby. I didn’t speak to my parents when I got home, instead I made sure a clone of me was asleep in my room then snuck out to Troll Market. I got in just in time to meet up with Blinky and the others at the pub. I saw them looking at the photo Toby had on his phone.

“Okay, it’s a little blurry! You try taking a picture while hauling butt, mister!” Toby complained.

“Not helping with the fact you two saw a changeling.” I whispered.

"Okay, well, what about the curator? How can a person just change like that?" Jim asked as I walked over. Aaarrrgghh and Blinky spoke to each other in another language. I said something to the two in the same language. "What? What is it?"
