When the wheezing sound of the TARDIS stopped, Alix and I immediately rushed for the doors, pushing them open together.

“Oh my gods,” I gasped. The landscape was violet. Barren purple grasslands, except for Bonsai-looking trees with dark purple leaves. The sky was tinged an ugly lime green. It was kind of like the African Savanna, only someone could have honestly thought they were in the inside of a grape.

Stepping out of the box after Jason and Percy, the Doctor said, “Now, the Vetnefarians might not be particularly happy we’re here. Let’s go to their labs and...try to talk it out?”

We trudged along the landscape for about five minutes before Jason pointed out a large white building in the distance. Either it was really glowing, or it was just super white and bright against the blah landscape.

“Okay, yeah, that’s it,” The Doctor cleared his throat. “We’re walking...and we’re walking…”

Half an hour later, I didn’t think I could take any more ‘fun facts’ about this place.

 “And the main export is-”

“That glow liquid stuff?” Alix interjected.

“-No, because that’s so rare. Their main export is Purple Vintium Glow Dust. Never woulda guessed purple, would you?” The Doctor asked.

Percy tapped his chin, pretending to think.

“Hmm, purple grass, purple trees, purple dirt, purple rocks, never would have guessed.”

“I know, right?” The Doctor grinned. “And here we are!”

We stopped walking and looked up at the huge, gleaming white building.

“The Vetnefarians live in there as well as having their labs there. Basically, they never leave because everything they need is right in that building,” The Doctor said. “They mine the ground right under their...base.” He walked up to the glass door, pushed a button, and said with a sly very Doctor-like smile, “Hello, I’m the Doctor, and I have a request.”

“What.” The cold, crisp voice said. A statement, not a question.

“TARDIS translation,” Percy whispered to me, smiling at my confused look. I felt like slapping myself. Shoulda known.

“There are four words; Daleks. Olympus. Invasion, Irnia.”

There was a pause, I heard a click, and then the voice said, “Come in.”

Alix reached out and grabbed the door handle tentatively, as if waiting for something to explode.

“It’s fine,” Jason said, reaching over and pulling the door open. We were immediately blasted with hot air.

“Vetnefarians are desert creatures. Hot climate and things…” The Doctor looked around, bouncing on the balls of his feet.

A woman with smooth green skin walked over to us.

  “Doctor?” She asked. “And...companions?”

“Yes. Sort of. Yes.” The Doctor ran a hand through his hair and looked over at Jason, Percy, Alix and I.

“Now I know this is kind of a big favor, but we need some Irnia.”

“Why?” The woman’s voice sounded like this is what she had expected, yet her startlingly, unrealistically bright blue eyes looked alarmed. She had on a lab coat and fragile looking shoes that really, really looked like paper. Safety goggles were planted firmly on her forehead. Dull - you guessed it - purple strands of hair surrounded her face. Nowhere, yet everywhere, if that makes sense...
