After saying bye to the Doctor, Jason, and the two girls (oh, Gods, I can’t remember their names), I hurried to one of the courtyards, where I knew Annabeth would be. There were a few nymphs there, the worry was visible. I spotted Annabeth on a bench next to the water statue of Athena. Not the Parthenos. My heart started beating a little faster as I hurried towards her.

“Wise Girl!” I exclaimed, grasping her shoulders. She jumped, dropping her notepad.

“Percy!” She jumped up, kissing me. Annabeth leaned down to retrieve her sketchbook. She sat back down on the bench, and I sat next to her.

 “So...what’re you doing?” I asked.

“Well, I’m calculating how long it’ll take to rebuild all this damage,” She said, scowling. “Ugh.” I wrapped my arms around her shoulders.

 “I love you too.”

“You asked me what I was doing, so I answered!” She sighed.

I let out a laugh. Annabeth flicked her stray hairs to the side.

“You know, Annabeth, you could take a break from all the planning, and strategizing, and just you know, do something else? Come onn! I only have twenty minutes.”

Annabeth looked over at me. “You are so annoying, Seaweed Brain.” She tucked the notepad under her arm and stood up.

After we had been walking through the garden for a while, not talking, I asked, “How did the daleks even get to Olympus in the first place?”

Annabeth, smirking, said, “Come on now, Seaweed Brain. This is old news! Teleportation. Flying. Occasionally zapping down a statue or column.”

“What does zapping down things have to do with them getting here?” I asked. Annabeth shook her head, smiling.

“The point is, I have to find a way to stop them from destroying Olympus!” Annabeth tensed, I could feel it as I had my arm around her waist.

“Come on now, Annabeth. It’s not all up to you! You aren’t going to be able to do everything, what are you, a super human?” I replied, looking down into her hair.

“I know...but still, I feel like I have to really do something, you know?”

“That’s Apollo’s job. Kind of. Right now he’s - well, he should be - duplicating the liquid stuff to stop the daleks. It’ll be...okay,” I said, hoping that what I had just said made sense.

“I know…” Annabeth trailed off. She turned to look at me, her stormy grey eyes and the way she looked straight at me made me think that she was trying to curse me or something.

“Uh...what are you doing?” I asked. Annabeth shook her head.

“Nothing...nothing.” She checked her watch, breaking away from my eyes. “It’s been twenty minutes - you should probably get back.” She held up her notepad. “I have to get back to work.”

“No, technically, you don’t, but yeah...I guess I should go.”

Annabeth reached up, her fingers brushing my cheek. She kissed me and, making a shooing gesture, said, “Go away, Seaweed Brain.”
