Escape the night

Hello?

It was a Friday evening like no other, school ended for the easter holidays and I now had two weeks to catch up on school work and complete tasks for next term. But what was more special about these holidays were that i was entrusted to stay home while mum and dad went on a well deserved vacation. Two weeks of freedom, here I come!

Saturday morning finally arrived and i rolled out of bed like a dead body wrapped up in blankets, ugh i hate mornings, especially sunny mornings why couldn't it rain or thunder? i would have more reason to stay inside and read Wattpad like the bookworm i am. Finally finding the courage to resurrect myself, i go to the bathroom to brush my teeth and wash my face. Still half-asleep i make my way downstairs for some well needed caffeine, UGH who made the rule of starting our days at 8am, we should at least wake up at 11am and start the day in the afternoon.

Two suitcases lined up underneath the staircase and in front of the front door ready to travel. Mum was checking the weather they'd experience in New Zealand while dad was cooking some delicious waffles with his special recipe, as soon as I walked downstairs the delightful smell engulfed me and oh its a perfect way to start my morning. FOOD. After breakfast, my parent's Uber arrived to take them to the airport so i kissed and hugged them goodbye and went upstairs to FaceTime my friends, Jemma and Emily.

"Hey bitches, ur girl is finally free, want to come over for a sleepover to celebrate our first night of freedom?"

"Ayeeee, of course ill be there, what about you Em?" Jemma asked as she danced around to some tiktok song stuck in her head.

"Yeah sure ill be there, do want me to bring all the OG DVD's?" Em asked while showing her collection of horror movies.

"Ok, lets go with Cabin In The Woods, Halloween, Jaws and end the night with Jigsaw, sound good?" I listed already excited for tonight.

"I gotchu girl, I'll bring them, what time we coming over?"Em asked while packing her bag with clothes and toiletries.

"Ems got the movies, ill bring the snacks and you Wareesha can get ur room ready and clean PLEASE" Jemma stated in a authoritative tone, scolding me.

"Hey! my room is an organised chaos and fine ill clean it just this once, also meet up at 5, so we have enough time to watch all the movies"

"Alright see ya then, luv ya!" they both said in unison.
