Luke's POV
I've made it though almost four of my six classes without fully falling asleep so I feel like that's a win for me. Don't get me wrong being in American history with Bobby is great but that teacher dude, he talks slower than a turtle crossing traffic. I take a quick glance at the clock to see what the time is, 11:47. 13 more minutes till lunch and I'm reunited with my boys, but for now I should be taking notes. I promised my mom I would be better in school if she bought me a guitar, and she finally gave in and bought one this summer. Now I have a duty to get perfect grades. No pressure am I right? As I try getting down my notes my mind travels back to the clock, 11:47. Still? It's been 11:47 for ten minutes! Then it hit me, some killer song lyrics, I quickly went to my backpack and pulled out my journal. "Clocks move forward but we don't get older," before I could finish getting it down I felt a pair of eyes stuck on me. I finished jotting down the lyrics and tried putting away the journal when the eyes were suddenly in front of me. The girl put her stuff in the chair next to me and looked down at my journal then back at me. I tried moving it away but she grabbed it out of my hands. "Hi, I'm Jessica" she whispered while skimming through the pages in my book.
"Wow, how interesting," I said with clear sarcasm, "I would really like that back now." I said trying to swipe it back.
"I did not take you as a poet, more of a loner, maybe even a secret jock?" She said while raising an eyebrow. I rolled my eyes and looked away. She continued to shift her eyes between be and my book ,"They aren't poems are they? Song lyrics?"
"Just something I do In my free time, don't get any ideas," I said, finally grabbing the journal from her hand "I've thought about it, it's not happening."
"Okay you keep telling yourself that. Just know they're really good. The reason I came over here was actually to ask for your notes but clearly you're not doing any so-" Jessica mumbled getting cut off half way through.
"Mrs. Smith and Mr. Patterson, something you would like to share with the rest of the class?" Mr. Carter said with sternness. I always hate when they say our last names, it makes me feel worse for doing whatever I'm doing. Even if I'm not doing anything wrong (although usually I am indeed doing something wrong).
"Sorry Mr. Carter, Luke here was just filling me in on what you're doing. He's actually taking notes so I thought I would ask him." I looked over at Jessica who was getting up and headed back to where she was originally seated. I really wasn't expecting her to take the blame but I'm not complaining. I need to make it through at least today without getting in trouble!
Bobby's POV
4 classes, 1 hour each class, and now finally lunch. It's always the easiest part of the day, and the part of the day where I'm most awake. I don't get it with Luke and Reggie. They keep on saying how high school is so much different from middle school but here we are doing the same old thing. Go to class, sleep in class, go to lunch together, then go to class AGAIN! The only difference is we are on the bottom. If it weren't for my brother being on the top I would be nervous too but he's got my back. I know if anything ever happened to any of us he would take care of it.

Jessica isn't going to be important I just needed someone to find Luke's song book. I also like the idea of him getting lyric ideas randomly throughout the story. Btw I totally imagine the teacher as Mrs. Darbis from high school musical. Sorry for any grammar/spelling mistakes! Sorry if the chapters or two short or two long.
