Chapter 22- Poor Chandler

Samantha's POV

*3 weeks later*

Chandler and I were in the park walking. I got my cast off earlier than expected. I have to have a wrap on it for a week. I kept the colored part of the cast since Chandler wrote on it.

Chandler intertwined our hands and I smiled and kissed Chandler's cheek.
He pouted.
I laughed and shook my head.
I began to run across the sidewalk and tripped into the road. I stood up.

"Watch out!" Someone screamed.
I turned around.
Everything happened so fast.
I heard a honk and my eyes shut.
I was shoved and landed in the grass.

I opened my eyes to see the sky. I was laying on my back. I sat up and I saw Chandler on the ground and a car stopped in front of him.
I screamed and ran to Chandler.

"Chandler!" I screamed sitting beside him.
"I'm so so so sorry." The man said getting out of the car.
"#%$@ off!" I yelled crying.
The man looked scared and I couldn't believe that came out of my mouth.

"Chandler please." I said.
Nothing.
I cried into his chest.
I grabbed my phone and called 911.
Chandler was breathing but unconscious.

*after call*

I heard a siren and I shot up.
The ambulance pulled in.
They got out with a stretcher and put Chandler on. I never let go of his hand.
They put him in an ambulance and I sat beside him.

They have him a check up I guess.
He coughed and I cried hugging him.
"That was your first cuss word." Chandler whispered weakly.
I chuckled and as he tried to hug back.

He grunted.
"You didn't need to do that." I said crying.
He nodded.
"I did too. You could have got hit." Chandler said.
I shook my head and let tears fall.

He wiped them away weakly with his hands.
I smiled.
"Does anything hurt?" The man asked.
He nodded.
No freakin duh.
"He got hit by a car so what do you think." I said angrily.

The man had big eyes and nodded knowing not to mess with me.
We arrived at the hospital.
I never let go of his hand.
"Immediate surgery." The doctor said.
I let tears fall.
"Sweety you gotta let go." The doctor said.

I kissed Chandlers hand and he smiled and left to the room for surgery.
I cried and grabbed my phone.
I called Sam.
Sam-Hello?
Samantha-Sam....Chandler.....car accident.
Sam-I'm coming!
Sam hung up.

I fell to the ground against the wall and cried. I don't know if Chandler was gonna make it. He saved me and something might go wrong because of that.

"Samantha!" Sam yelled running down the hall.
I stood up and he hugged me.
I cried into his chest and hugged back.
"It's okay" Sam said rubbing my back.
"There was a car....I almost got hit....Chandler pushed me......he got hit......he's in surgery" I managed to get out.

Sam began to cry too.
We cried hugging in the middle of a hallway.
Sam never cries in front of me.
Well cries period.
Sam wiped his eyes and grabbed his phone and hugged me on the side.

He called Chandler's family, Averie, and Grey.
Hayes was never close to Chandler.
Only me.
I mean he was my ex so that makes since.

Averie and Grey came running down the hall.
I didn't pull away from Sam.
I kept crying and couldn't control myself.
They all were worried for me.
Sam put his phone away and hugged me.

I kept crying.
I knew they were talking but quietly.
They didn't know what to do about me.
Chandlers parents arrived and I still didn't leave Sam.
Gina rubbed my back and Grayson did too. William did the same.
I was a crying mess.

"We will be in the waiting room." Gina said leaving with everyone else besides Gray and Averie.
"We will go too." Gray said.
Sam nodded.
They left and Sam hugged me and rubbed my back.
I couldn't stop but I died it down.

"Sam twin he's gonna be alright." Sam said.
"How do you know?" I asked sniffing at the end.
"Chandlers a strong guy and you are a strong girl." Sam said.
I smiled nodding.
Sam hugged me from the side as we walked to the waiting room.

Gina stood up and smiled when she saw me.
I surprisingly pulled away from Sam and hugged Gina.
I could see she had been crying.
She hugged back and rubbed my back.
"He's gonna be okay." Gina whispered.
I nodded and pulled away.

William hugged me and I hugged back.
He kissed my head.
I smiled and pulled away.
I noticed he had been crying too.
Grayson hugged me as soon as I faced him.
I chuckled and hugged back.

"Is he gonna be okay?" Grayson asked.
"He's strong." Is all I said.
Grayson nodded and hugged me tight and pulled away.
I sat down in the middle of Sam and Gray. I leaned against Grays shoulder giving Sam a break.

Gray smiled and wrapped an arm around me.

*2 hours later*

Averie left an hour ago because she had to go to a baby shower.
It was 3:00pm.
I hadn't moved or left.
"Riggs?" The doctor said walking in.
We all stood up.
"Chandlers surgery went perfectly as
planned. He had 3 broken ribs and arm. He's awake in room 32." As soon as those last 5 words came out, I took off down the hall.

I ran to room 32 and the door was open.
I ran in and saw Chandler watching tv.
"Oh my god." I said running over to him.
He hugged me and I hugged him softly.
"I'm okay." Chandler said.
I cried.

"Don't cry" Chandler said kissing my lips.
I wiped them away.
Gray, Sam, Grayson, Gina, then William walked in the room in that order.
They all hugged Chandler and we were all better because he was okay now.

Gray and Sam left because of the parents 'worried' about them.
They moved Chandler to an over night room with a bathroom.
Gina and William left to go home and said they would be back in the morning.
They told me I should get some rest.
I'll get rest with Chandler.

I knew if I went home, I wouldn't be able to sleep. I called my mom and told her what happened. She told me I could stay with Chandler so I did.
I wasn't leaving even if she told me not too.

I was laying on Chandlers hospital bed and Chandler had his arm wrapped around me.
I snuggled up to his chest.
The doctor gave him pain killers and told us a nurse would come in every 2 hours.

Chandler kissed my lips and I kissed back.
I pulled away and he pouted.
"Chandler why did you go infront of that car?" I asked.
"To protect you. It's my job too and always will be." Chandler said.
I smiled and kissed Chandler again.
This time Chandler pulled away slowly and after awhile we both fell asleep.

All I thought about that night was one thing.
We were supposed to protect each other.
