Bre's POV

Five minutes later, a man arrived with the items in hand, and they continued the interview.

"So, were you present at the scene of Ms.Womack's death?"

"No, me and Bahj were sitting with her mother when we received the phone call."

"Why were you present at her mother's home?"

"We're always at each others house. Our mother's are best friends with each other and never mind us randomly popping up at their homes."

"How would you describe you and Bre's relationship?"

"Bre and I loved each other, in a best friend way of course. Just like ordinary friendships, we had our ups and downs."

"Was Bre affiliated with anything or anyone that would harm her?"

"Well, you didn't hear it from me, but Bre's boyfriend Jacob is associated with a lot of criminal activity, and Bre is always involved in his work in some sort of way. She probably couldn't keep her mouth closed, and it caused her death."

"Is there any chance that you've been lying to me in any of these questions? Please tell me now before these answers are finalized because if it comes up that you are lying, you can face jail time,Ms.Pullins."

"I've told the truth and nothing but the truth, Mr.Thompson."

"Okay, Ms.Pullins. You are free to go."

I couldn't believe the lies Zonnique had just told to this officer. Jacob has never been involved with any gangs and neither was I. I hoped the detective could see through her lies because this was utterly ridiculous! These girls used to be who I trusted my life with, now look at me. Not everyone's your friend, loves.

Zonnique exited the room swiftly, and Bahja entered a couple of moments later. I couldn't wait to see this disaster.

-Bahja's Questioning-

"Is there anyone that had a strong dislike for Ms.Womack?"

"Not that I know of."

"You were her best friend, correct?"

"Yes, of course."

"She never told you anything about someone being after her or trying to harm her?"

"No."

So far, Bahja hasn't cracked, this is getting interesting by the second.

"Did you and Ms.Womack get into any type of altercation before her death?"

"No, Bre and I argued over stupid stuff like curling irons, and perm rods, but other than that, nothing at all."

"Were you present at the scene of Ms.Womack's death?"

"I was there a couple hours before the incident, and after the ambulance took away her body to gather her belongings with her mother."

"Was it just you and her mother collecting her items? Was anyone else with you two?"

"Yes, Zonnique was and her boyfriend Jacob."

"How would you describe you and Bre's relationship?"

"Bre and I never really had any issues, like I said before, it was mainly over stupid stuff. She was like me and my sister Lourdes's other sibling. We loved her."

"Was Bre affiliated with anything or anyone that would harm her?"

"No, Bre never really told us anything personal like that if she was."

"What about her boyfriend Jacob, how would you describe him?"

"He's a nice boy, and he adored Bre with all his heart."

"Was he frequently causing trouble in school?"

"No, Jake's a very smart boy, he's a straight A student."

"Is there any chance that you've been lying to me in any of these questions? Please tell me now before these answers are finalized because if it comes up that you are lying, you can face jail time Ms.Rodriguez?"

"I've told you everything I know truthfully."

"You're free to go than, enjoy the rest of your night."

-End of Questioning-

I was truly surprised that Bahja didn't crack. At least, she was honest, but her honest words could collide with Zonnique's lies. The outcome of this will not be good, and I cannot wait to see in all explode in their faces. After they both met up in the lobby of the office, they went to the local Chipotle.

"So, how'd it go?" Zonnique questioned.

"I was calm, and I answered everything honestly like you told me, too. It was so weird for him to ask about Jacob. Did he ask you anything about him? He asked me to describe him, than how he was in school, weird right?"

"Oh my god. How did you describe him?" Nique said with a terrified expression.

"I said that he was a good person, and never really got into a lot of trouble."

"Fuck. I told him that Jacob was affiliated with gangs, and was a trouble maker! You've ruined everything Bahja. We could go to jail for this."

"No, Nique. Don't blame this shit on me, and try to make me look like I'm stupid. If your ass would've just told the fucking truth, they would not suspect anything! You're making us look guilty by lying you retarded fuck!"

"Since I'm a retarded fuck, you can find your own ride home. I'm so done with you."
"See you in jail, bitch."

They both walked out of the restaurant and went their separate ways. Bahj took a cab home, and Nique drove home. Splitting apart wasn't going to help them accomplish anything. All I want is justice for my death. This was a plus for me, them going to jail would be a good revenge for me, but it wouldn't be good enough. I sat next to Bahj in the cab seat all the way to her house.

Bahja's POV

After I got out of the cab, I ran straight upstairs to get into the shower. This was such a stressful day, and I think I just lost the only friend I had left. I stood in the warm, steamy shower just reviewing my actions. My answers to the cop could cost me the rest of my life. Nique and I could be thrown in jail for lying, and worst than that, for the death of Bre. I dried off, and sat under my covers watching Ridiculousness; It was 10 o' clock, and I didn't plan on going to sleep, just yet.
