33. The lasses are back in town

When we took the cab back to the tour bus, it had been just like when we had took the cab to the tour bus after picking up mine and Jennifers stuff. We had been screaming and singing in happiness. We were so excited for me and Jennifer joining the tour bus yet again.

We finally came back to the tour bus. We stood outside, ready to meet the others.
-Wait a minute, can ye birds close your eyes? We have a surprise for ye, Steve said and looked at Bruce and then mysteriously at me and Jennifer with a smirk.
-Um, sure, I said as me and Jennifer took our hands on our eyes. Making us not able to see. Bruce held me with each hand on my shoulders and led me. Steve probably did the same with Jennifer.

-What have ye chaps planned...? I said confused but excited to myself as we walked. Bruce chuckled at me.
Then we stopped.

-Okay lasses, open yer eyes, Bruce said still holding my shoulders. We took away our hands and looked. To my surprise, the members had made a small "welcome back" party behind the tour bus!

They had a white plastic dining table with chairs
around. There were paper plates and a lot of ale in all different sorts. There were also some food. Didn't look life the fanciest food but what would you expect from a heavy metal band. I was hungry as hell after the flight so I didn't mind. Just as long as there were food.

They had opened the bus door and windows so that the music they had on their vinyl player would be heard. For the moment "Highway Star" were playing. Reminding me of when we were on the road last time. The Rock n' Roll life style.
It was a warm day and it was perfect for something like this. Me and Jennifer looked gobsmacked at them.
-Welcome back! They said and all of them cheered with a beer.

Me and Jennifer looked at each other and laughed.
-Wow, you guys are the best! I said as we went over to them and took a seat at the dining table. I sat myself next to Bruce and Jennifer next to Steve.
-That was generous to say, Nicko smirked jokingly.
-It took quite a lot of time to make this. A lot of preparation to, Adrian said as he looked around on all of the things.

-Shall we show the cake? Dave said excited looking at the lads.
-Sure do! Steve said as he took himself a beer.
Dave hunched over next to him where it seemed as if they had hidden the cake.
He laid it in the middle of the table.
-Wait, ye guys have made this?! I said surprised as I looked at the cake. It was Eddies face with their Iron Maiden text.
-We sure did! You girls like Iron Maiden, hopefully, he joked and giggled at himself.
-Can't guarantee that it taste to good tho, Nicko said and chuckled.
Me and Jennifer laughed.
-It's the thought that counts, I said and smiled.
