"They should be here any minute." Chester tapped his fingers against each other in anticipation. "You ready?"

"Yeah, oh! Lemme grab the lyrics sheet real quick!" Mike darted into Chester's favorite room in the studio, his singing booth, to grab the lyric sheet.

The band wanted to change things up a bit with their second album, and they decided that having two more members would do the trick, so they were holding auditions.

The band heard a knock on the studio door, and Chester leapt from his seat to open it. "Dayton!" He pulled his old friend into a tight hug.

"Hi Chaz!" Dayton hugged his friend back. "Long time no see!"

"And who's this?" Chester looked away from Dayton for a moment, catching eyes with his beautiful lady friend.

"This is Reagan." Dayton put his arm around the girl playfully. "Reagan, meet Chester, Mike, Brad, Dave, Rob, and Joe!"

"Hi." Reagan awkwardly waved at the band.

""Guys, you remember Dayton, right?" Chester asked, some heads nodded while others shook. "His brother is Simon, from Platinum Lotus Foundation?"

Now everyone nodded, remembering meeting Dayton a long time ago. "Hi guys!" Dayton waved, they all waved back.

"Well, come on in!" Chester enthusiastically opened the door, welcoming the newcomers into their sacred studio space.

"Wow, this is amazing!" Reagan looked at all of the expensive equipment in awe.

"So, do you guys want to show us what you've got?" Chester asked, and both nodded furiously.

"Okay, so it's called Lying From You, Mike you ready?" Dave asked, handing the lyric sheet to Dayton and Reagan. Mike flashed them a thumbs up and walked towards the soundboard.

Dayton grabbed Brad's guitar and he and Reagan began to sing.

"his isn't what I wanted to be
I never thought that what I said would have you running from me

The two sang in unison, a raspy, yet calm sound that the two of them produced together would give the band a unique twist. Combined with Chester's vocals... it would be heaven.

"Well, you're in!" Joe clapped, "welcome to Linkin Park!"

The whole room erupted into cheers and everyone hugged each other.

"Okay, let's get to work."

"Today's progress is awesome!" Mike pressed pause on the song after they had listened to the recorded vocals so far. Their three voices harmonized sounded amazing.

Chester smirked at Reagan, it was clear to everyone that he had developed an attraction to her. Dayton smiled at his friend, still surprised at how well their first day with Linkin Park had gone.

"Dayton, tomorrow you should show me your skills on guitar, teach me a thing or two." Brad suggested.
