Gracie May's House
Gracie May was getting ready for the day as she was asked by Esme and John to mind their kids which of course she said yes, Gracie May loved kids so she decided to bring the kids on a picnic.
Gracie picked out some black boots, a belt and a beautiful dress "thank god for fashion" she whispered to herself.
Gracie finished up her hair and walked to Johns house which didn't take to long, knocking on the door it was opened quickly by Katie the oldest child "Gracie May" she shouted smiling ear to ear dragging Gracie inside the busy house.
Esme put Jack down onto the floor "hello Gracie how are ye" Gracie smiled over at Lucy who was hiding behind her Father "I'm good and you."
"I'm great excited about getting out right Lucy Daddy will be back soon ok" Esme told Lucy clearly Lucy was a Daddy's girl she nodded at her mother and sat on the couch beside Katie "right let's go thanks again Flower" John said grinning.
Gracie picked up Jack "how old is Jack Katie" the young girl looked over at Gracie May "he is 2 Lucy is 6 and I am a big girl I'm 9" Katie said proudly.
"Thank you Katie right I've the whole day planned out we are going to have so much fun" Lucy and Katie started cheering as Jack was giggling to himself.
"The only way we can start having fun is if we clean up our mess" Gracie noticed how the kids seem to make a mess and then not clean it up.
"Ok Gracie" Lucy started picking up her dolls placing them into the dolly house, Katie picked up her and Jacks toys as he was too young "finished" Lucy and Katie cheered Gracie was impressed with their speed "great job guys right let's go get some paints in the shop and we can paint some lovely pictures."
"For Mammy and Daddy"
"Yes it can be for yourself either Lucy"
Jack isn't very good on his feet so Gracie May put him in a buggy "right Lucy and Katie hold onto one another's hands and stay close to me" Gracie didn't trust some people in Small Heath especially since she knew the dangers of losing a child there.
They all made their way into the shops and started picking out paints "I like this colour Gracie" Lucy started tugging on Gracie Mays dress "purple is a beautiful colour Lucy it's one of my favourites" Katie picked out yellow, green and red as Lucy picked out purple, blue and orange.
"What colours will we pick for Jack" Katie asked smiling.
"Well we will be sharing these colours so we each get a go of all the colours I think we should get gold, silver and pink" the two girls started jumping up and down with exciting while Jack was chewing on a paint brush "I can't imagine that's tasty Jack here have this instead" Gracie May handed him a soft cookie.
Johns House
Katie, Lucy and Jack were all sat at the table painting pictures for their parents "Gracie do you like painting" Katie asked as she drew a flower on her page "yes I do like painting I don't paint a lot but it's a nice activity to do when you aren't busy" Lucy nodded at Gracie Mays reply "we don't paint at all really".
Gracie knew Katie, Lucy and Jack were normally really hyper but painting seemed to calm them down well Jack was just painting his hands and slapping it down onto the paper that was in front of him "great job Jack" Gracie May was impressed with the kids as it was there first time painting.
The paintings were finished "right let's leave these here to try how about we clean up and wash our hands so we can go for our picnic" Gracie told the kids all about her picnic plan and the delicious food she made for them.
"I'm so excited" Lucy roared running to the bathroom to clean her hands Gracie started cleaning Jacks hands in the kitchen sink.
"Perfect right let's go to the field and have our picnic" Gracie grabbed the basket and blanket.
"Let's go" Katie shouted raising her first like she was leading a war Gracie started laughing "remember stay close to me please" Gracie opened the door and the kids did exactly as they were told "I must have the magic touch you guys are good listeners to me".
"Oh we only listen to you and Uncle Tommy because he is badass and you are like a princess" Lucy told Gracie making her blush just of the mention of his name "are we close" Katie groaned getting tired of walking "yes see that gate right there run up to it and open it please in there is a field we can eat our food there" Katie ran over to the gate opening it letting Gracie May, Lucy and Jack enter the field.
"Katie can you help me place this blanket out" Katie grabbed the end of the blankets pulling it as Gracie May straighten it out "perfect thank you Katie".
They were all sat in a circle enjoying the sandwiches, pasta and little cakes Gracie had made "will I show you how to make flower crowns" Gracie asked Lucy and Katie since Jack was too busy playing with his toy trucks and toy guns.
"Yes please Gracie"
"I love crowns they make me feel like a Queen"
"Ok get some flowers and start tying them together after the first circle you make start it again with more flowers" Lucy and Katie started following the instructions Gracie had giving them and soon there were three beautiful flower crowns on the picnic blanket.
"I love it Gracie thank you for teaching me" Katie jumped up hugging Gracie May "it's no problem Princess" Katie smiled at the new nickname she had "Luce do you like your flower crown" Gracie asked as Lucy put the flower crown on her head "it's the best thank you" Lucy replied with red cheeks.
"Gracie" Jack giggled "hello mister" Gracie smiled holding Jack into the air as he babbled back "you all got good Shelby genes".
"I'm not wearing jeans" Lucy replied confused "We are wearing dresses like you" Katie added laughing.
Gracie didn't bother explaining as the kids were probably too young to understand that type of science "would you girls like me to make you princess dresses special ones just for you" the two Shelby girls starts nodding their heads.
"Yes please"
"Jack I'll make you an outfit as well make you look even more handsome" Jack cuddled into Gracie playing with her necklace.
Gracie looked down at her watch "oh god look at the time it's flew by right let's start going home we can show your parents your pictures and flower crowns".
Johns House
Gracie May checked on the paintings and of course they were dried "they look amazing guys" Gracie May told the group "right I think it time for you all to get into bed it's getting late you can show them your art work in the morning".
Gracie May took all the kids to bed and they fell asleep quickly as walking around all day tired them out, Esme and John walked inside "it's so quiet" Esme laughed.
"Jesus Flower you didn't get rid of the kids did ye" John asked "no I didn't you git they were so good I'd mind them anytime" Gracie told the couple honestly.
"You can take them whenever thanks again so much" Esme replied before walking upstairs to her bed "thanks flower you are an Angel" John kissed the top of Gracie Mays head before letting her leave quietly "bye John" Gracie May waved goodbye as she walked away from the house.
