Mary-Grace's parents looked her up and down with monotone faces. As if searching for a mistake Ava-Louise could have made while dressing her."Ready to leave?"
"Yes mother," MG replied bluntly.
A short conversation followed as the family walked out of manor and into the carriage meant to take them to the Trancy estate. The ride there was mainly silent. This family wasn't very social to say the least..
"Ciel Phantomhive will also be attending, you're aware of his status and similarity correct?" MG's father said creating eye contact with her.
"Yes father I'm aware that both Ciel and Alois have ties to the Queen."
"Good, I want you to be social and 'friendly' with them, it could prove beneficial."
"Yes father."
Once the discussion came to a conclusion the carriage had finally arrived at the manor. Stepping out with the help of a hand from a butler, Mary-Grace could hear muffled music coming from inside. She looked up into the eyes of the butler who helped her out of the carriage. They seemed to glow a pink-ish type hue when the eye contact was made. MG shook this off for the moment but did take note that it had happened. Her parents entered the Trancy Estate, MG following shortly behind. Mary-Grace's eyes shot shut when entering the room, the difference in lighting from outside the manor to the inside caused a slight strain in her eye. Slowly opening her eyes and regaining her sight she smiled. The music, the couples swaying, the gowns, and the ballroom itself, everything was surreal. It truly was beautiful. This is exactly what Mary-Grace liked about having to go to such events, the scenery.
Her parents were already off mingling with others and sooner or later were out of sight. She figured that she should spot out Ciel and Alois in the crowd if she was meant to talk to them at some point. She's never met them in person but she was given a short description by her parents. She was told Alois had bright light blonde hair, cold light blue eyes, and pale skin. For Ciel's description she was told he was a ravenette, meaning he had a dark blue-ish black type color hair, with bangs that draped on the sides and between his eyes, he wore an eyepatch, piercings, and had dark blue eyes. With these descriptions in mind she scanned the room around her. While doing this she became lost in her own thoughts and didn't notice a girl approaching her.
"I absolutely adore your gown!" The girl said enthusiastically while walking closer.
Upon coming closer Mary-Grace realized who the excited sounding blonde girl was.
"You must be Elizabeth, it's a pleasure to meet you." Mary-Grace replied with a smile.
"And you're Mary-Grace Williams! I've heard so much about you! I've been dying to speak with you!"
"You have?"
"Of course! I think the two of us could be best friends!"
"I'm glad to here that." MG said smiling slightly more.
Being a wealthy noble as well, MG had heard about Elizabeth and her family. She assumed Elizabeth heard about her from the same sorts.
"Oh and please, call me Lizzy!"
"Oh, of course!"
The conversation continued on for awhile. Mary-Grace liked Lizzies company more than she thought. The girl is very energetic and bubbly. MG thought her personality and energy would come off as annoying but it was actually somewhat nice, almost comforting. It was a good contrast from the way Mary Grace acted. After awhile the music began to slow. Upon the change of music lizzie jumped up.
"It was lovely chatting with you but there's someone I want to dance with!" Lizzy said excitedly.
"It was nice talking to you to as well. Have fun!"
The girl quickly darted off into the crowd. Mary-Grace just watched and giggled slightly upon seeing the girl skip around the room looking for someone. Just then someone approached Mary-Grace with an extended arm. She looked up to meet their eyes and saw someone that fit the description she got of Alois Trancy.
"I noticed you over here by yourself, care to dance with me?"
She was startled by the boy and just looked up at him for a few seconds. Her expression relaxed and she gave the boy a small smile. She slowly extended her arm and placed her hand in his.
"My, that took you quite awhile did I startle you?"
"Slightly yes, I didn't see you approach me."
"We're your eyes and mind elsewhere?"
"I suppose."
He had a resting smirk on his face. He seemed amused with how little information I'd been giving him back with his questions.
"Alois Trancy, it's a pleasure to finally meet you Miss Williams."
