Getting Antsy | Spring Ninjago One-Shot (incomplete)

It's an incomplete idea and though I really love the idea I just didn't have the drive to continue so here's the unfinished and unedited product!

"Lloyd Garmadon!"

The hero of Ninjago jumped at the furious voice and turned guiltily to face the man standing in the doorway. His blue eyes narrowed, dark bangs moving as a huff escaped from his scowling lips.

When Nathan Kelly heard that the green ninja was having a long stay at the hospital due to a recent battle with some super villain he had thought the innocent-looking young man would be the least of his problems. Turns out Lloyd Montgomery Garmadon made even more trouble than the entire children's unit next door.

He didn't exactly make any trouble trouble, he just refused to listen to any of the doctors or nurses! The ninja's stubbornness had no end! Nathan would find him attempting to do exercises shortly after he just came out of surgery, sneaking off looking for candy when his sleeping meds wore off, and working furiously on his laptop like he was now!

"Put the computer down!" The male nurse growled threateningly. Lloyd dropped the device back into his side table like a scolded puppy.

Nathan pinched the bride of his nose and let out a sigh as he moved to check the teens I.V. "Look, I know you have some crazy addiction to your job as a ninja but you need to rest. You're attempting to exchange emails with the mayor while you're in danger of internally bleeding and it's not healthy."

Lloyd frowned, a pouty look on his face as he sank back into his pillows and stared up at the ceiling. "The world is falling apart and all I'm doing is sitting here! I should at least be able to handle a few press issues!" He began to reach towards the laptop again.

"No," Nathan pushed him back down and snatched the computer. "We're not just concerned for your physical health but your mental and emotional health too. All this stress and pressure has taken a toll and we need to monitor how much this job is affecting you."

The nurse tapped him in the head with his pen. "You're only eighteen. You shouldn't have to be worried about saving the world every second. Just relax, enjoy this little vacation."

Lloyd grumbled a little under his breath but reluctantly laid back down and closed his eyes. Nathan gave him a thin smile as he changed his dressings before leaving the room with a warning glance. As much as Lloyd ignored the doctors'- and nurses'- orders he didn't want to cause too much trouble. They were helping him and he was so thankful that they dragged him from the edge of death once more.

But it was hard. He looked out his window at the sunny spring morning. It appeared cheerful, beautiful, and warm. But it had only been a few days after the most recent battle and it still flashed behind his closed eyelids. Lloyd shivered as he remembered he numbing pain, sickening fear, and the horrible feeling of blood seeping from his fingers. Subconsciously, his hand strayed over the spot where his stitches were placed, he gripped the fabric of his hospital gown, hand curled into a fist.

The sounds of giggling dragged him out of his thoughts, directing his attention to the pairs of wide eyes peering at him from the doorway. Lloyd tilted his head in confusion at the curious faces shamelessly gawking at him from the door.

"Uh... hey?" Lloyd awkwardly said.

One freckled little girl squeaked while the others exchanged incredulous looks. Was the green ninja talking to them?

"Er- you can come in." Lloyd reached for his green hoodie and pulled it over his body before shuffling to face them.

Cautiously the tallest boy crept in, dragging his I.V with him. He had the kind of twinkle he saw in Kai's eyes when he was making mischief and a frizzy dark fro atop his head. Next was the little girl, who came bouncing in, something that was noticeably absent was her arm. Finally was another young girl in a wheel chair, who almost rolled into the door on his way in.
