What if...Spider-Gwen was in the MCU?

Peter knows Spider-Man!

Liz came up to me after AcaDeca, and said, "You mentioned being in a band, right?"

"Yeah, why?"

"I'm having a party tomorrow, and the DJ bailed last minute, so we need some music, can you guys make it?"

"Yeah, I think so, what time will it be at?"

"The party starts at 7, but you guys can come early, if you need to. I'll text you my address."

"Great! See you then."

"Wait," Flash interrupted, "you could just play some music, you don't need a band." He really seemed to have it out for me since I took his spot on the team, "You don't even know if they're good!"

"Well, Gwen says they are, and I trust her."

"But what if they aren't? Her band could be horrible for all you know."

"Just... leave it alone, Ok, Flash?" Liz turned away, and ran to catch up with her friends, "See you then, Gwen!"

"See you then!" I called back. Flash made a face at me and stalked off.

That afternoon at rehearsal, I told the girls, "I got us a gig!"

MJ was so stunned, she momentarily forgot I came almost 10 minutes late. "You did? When? Where? How?"

"A girl from my school, Liz Toomes. She's having a party tomorrow evening, and her family lives in downtown Queens."

"That's amazing! What time does she need us?"

"The party starts at 7, but she said we can arrive early if we need to."

"We should try to get there at 6:15, then."

Glory stood up and pulled a notebook and pen out of her bag, "We should make a list of questions we need to answer and stuff we need to clear up before we go."

We started throwing questions and ideas out. "What songs will we play?"

"How will we get there?"

"What are we wearing?"

"Do we want to do a long set, or a short set?"

"Will we play original songs, covers, or both?"

"Will we stay the entire party, or just the first few hours?"

"We need an official name."

"How will we transport everything?"

After a few beats of silence, MJ stood up and said, "We can work on those after some songs, lets practice because we actually have a place to play at, now!"

We ran through some songs and stopped playing 20 minutes early, so we could answer the questions Glory wrote down at the start of rehearsal. "My mom says she can drive us and transport the instruments. She can pick us up here at 6, so we can load the drum set in."

"We don't have to wear the exact same outfit, what about a colour scheme?"

"I like that idea, what colours?"

"Black, bright green, and purple?"

"Dark purple would look better."

"We should ask Lin-"

"Liz."

"-sorry, Liz what songs she would like better, covers or originals."

"And we can ask her how long she wants us to play for."

"What about a name?"

"We could stick with the Mary Janes, has a nice ring to it."

"Of course you think that, MJ."
