Petra, like most babies, cried, ate and slept a lot. Luckily for her, Peter was mainly awake during the night.
Another thing that shocked Maddie was that Peter gave up Spider-Man so he be with his family. She was so happy that he felt bad he never spent that much time with her before.
Petra loved both her parents but it was obvious Peter was her favourite. She would always calm and settle when he picked her up. The other avengers had met her but as Peter and Maddie were often busy with her, they didn't see her too often. Only Happy, Rhodey and May did as they didn't have to do avenger work. Rhodey still went out in his suit every now and then but not nearly as much as he used to. Happy and May started dating too! Peter was a bit iffy at first but eventually warmed up to the idea.
As Petra grew, she got smarter and more energetic by the day. She really was her fathers carbon copy. Her first word was of course 'dada' but it was closely followed by mama and T'ny (Tony).
When she was a year old, Peter decided to show her his suit and crawled around the walls of their house, making her giggle.

She loved his Spider-Man suit and often watched videos of him on her mummy's phone or the TV. She also loved babbling to KAREN, her daddies AI that he installed from the suit and into the building.
By the time she was 2, she knew all about Tony and his job as Ironman. She had a plushie of the Ironman suit and also saw videos made by her dad when he was younger, that featured him.
By the time she was 3, she could easily read and write, she had clearly gotten the smarts from her father. But she had her mother's no shit attitude. It wasn't unusual to see her tell Peter off if he did something dumb and it was incredibly amusing to watch.
By the time she was 4, she loved to watch her daddy invent things in his lab and workshop. She sometimes even got to help! She had also started school and was top of her class and especially good at science (she got to do advanced classes so she was able to do it).
And then, by the time she was 4 1/2, Petra and Peter were inseparable. She loved him to pieces and it exasperated her mother just how clingy she was to him. She was very much a daddies girl. She didn't know what she'd do without him. Until one day she had to find out.

"Daddy!" Petra yelled.
"Yes Petal?" He asked, using his nickname for her.
She grinned happily at the nickname before bolting towards him and allowing him to lift her up into his warm arms.
"Mummy said to come and save you!" She exclaimed.
"Oh really? Well, I'm saved. Thank you Petal!" He smiled warmly before turning to the few avengers beside him.
