A couple of days had passed. Kenma and I continued playing games together at 2 AM. Sometimes he went to my dorm, but usually, I went to his. We didn't stay up until 2 AM. No. Instead, we went to sleep early and woke up at 2 AM. We would mostly sit on the floor, Kenma's cat either sitting on Kenma's head, on his bed, or curled up in my lap. At around 6:30, we went to our dorms and got ready for school if there was school that day.

The school day went by pretty quickly-- nothing special. I started walking to the gym for today's after-school practice when I ran into Kuroo, already in his jersey. He was looking at something on his phone before he saw me, his backpack on one shoulder.

"Hey there, Chibi-chan."

He smiled and waved as he approached me.

"Why do you keep calling me that?"

To be honest, I was a little irritated at the nickname.

"Because you are a chibi-chan."

His response just made me more irritated.

"Just because I'm shorter than you doesn't mean I'm a kid. I'm only one grade younger than you are."

"Sure."

He looked back at his phone, and my face was a little red. But then I smiled as a thought crossed my mind. I snatched his phone and ran towards the gym. He tried chasing me but was stopped when I closed the gym doors behind me. Everyone was already at the gym, including Kenma and Tsukki. I hid and stood in the far corner of the gym. I started to scroll through his gallery, finding nothing interesting at first. I continued to scroll but slowed down a bit. As I scrolled farther, the images started to get, how do I describe it... spicy.

"Chibi-chan~"

My heart stopped. I didn't notice that Kuroo was hovering over me, his right hand on the wall near my head. I stared at the floor. He was still catching his breath a bit and took a deep breath. He continued to speak.

"Give me back my phone, Chibi-chan~"

His voice was different, he spoke slower. Deeper. It made my heart pump out of my chest. Aw shit. I tried walking away from his hand, but he slammed his left hand on the wall which echoed through the gym. Everyone was watching now. He leaned closer and the tension was felt throughout the room. Kenma looked away, and Tsukki just rolled his eyes.

"Chibi-chan~"

He used his left hand to lift my chin so we were making eye contact as he smirked at me. The look in his eyes was different too. It was like he changed into an entirely different person. I couldn't breathe. It was like his eyes were piercing into my soul.

"If you don't give it back, I'm going to have to force you to."

He was so close, his face just a few inches away from mine. I felt a small whimper escape as I handed him his phone. He used his left hand to slowly grab the phone, still leaning in close. He chuckled and walked away, placing his phone in his bag. I stared at the floor. My mind swirled as I was figuring out what exactly just happened. I felt Kenma gently touch my shoulder.

"Hey. You ok, Pudding?"

I replied a little shakily.

"Yea. I-I'm fine."

He glared at Kuroo for a second then gave me a soft look. "Why don't we go and get some boba after practice? Then we could play some games after, yea?"

"Yea, that sounds good."

I sat down on the bench, my mind still clouded with anger, confusion, and shock.

It was the next day, and I couldn't stop thinking about what had happened with Kuroo. I felt so confused and angry at him. I dug through my bag to see if there was anything to get my mind off the thought. At the bottom of my bag, I found a box of strawberry-flavored pockies. I ate a couple of them, but it wasn't enough to distract me. I rested my head on my palm and looked in the distance. Tsukki walked over to my table and sat down in the seat across from me. He had his headphones on, so I was assuming he was listening to music. I wasn't paying much attention to him though.

"Hey, Tsukki."

I glanced over at him as he paused his music and took off his headphones. He seemed to be in his usual salty mood.

"Didn't I tell you to stop calling me that?"

I ignored him.

"Whatever. Do you need something?"

He rolled his eyes.

"Nothing that concerns you, Pipsqueak."

I lifted my head and gave him a look that was confused, but I couldn't help but chuckle a little at the nickname.

"Pipsqueak?" I said as I looked at him and chuckled again.

"Yeah. It's because you're so short."

I stopped smiling and gave him an angry look. Great, another nickname referring to my height. He looked away and rested his head on his palm. He was trying to hide his face, but I could see that he was blushing a little as he chuckled at my frustration. Hmm. Teasing Tsukki will take my mind off things. I sighed and held the box of pockies in his direction.

"You want one. They're strawberry flavored."

He looked at the box then turned away.

"Oh come on, Tsukki. I thought you liked strawberry," I said as I tried to convince him to take one.

He looked at me with an annoyed look.

"That doesn't mean I always want something strawberry flavored."

I shook the box a little and pushed it closer to him. He sighed and rolled his eyes.

"Fine, I'll have some."

He snatched the box and started to nibble one of the pockies.

"Hey!"

He smiled again at my frustration.

"What? You asked if I wanted some."

"I didn't mean take the box. Give it back."

I reached out for it, but he pulled it away.

"Nah."

He had the tip of a pocky in his mouth. He was still holding the box just outside my reach. I stood up and tried to get the box from his side of the table. When he pulled it out of my reach again, I leaned in and gently bit the opposite tip of the pocky. Tsukki's eyes widened and his face turned red. I sat down next to him and bit a little closer. He followed my actions. He started to relax a bit and closed his eyes. He put the pocky box in his other hand so he could gently support my chin. The pocky between us became smaller. There was about an inch of pocky left between us when I bit off the pocky. I pulled back and snatched the box. He opened his eyes and gave me an angry look.

"What the fuck, Y/N?!"

"What?"

I gave him a teasing smile. He finished the part of the pocky and wiped his mouth with his sleeve. I grabbed one of the pockies out of the box and began to nibble on it. He got up and grabbed his bag. After putting on his headphones, he turned to me and gave me a flick on the forehead.

"You idiot."

"Ow, that hurt!"

I gave him another angry look and rubbed my forehead. He turned and left me alone again at the table smiling to himself and shaking his head. Jeez this guy. Does he like seeing me mad or something? Huh. Strange though. He seemed to enjoy the Pocky game. I watched him as he walked away. When he turned into the doorway of the building, he gave me a look that was either emotionless or angry. It was hard to tell at this distance, but one thing was for sure: Tsukki is most likely going to avoid me for a while. Either that or just become saltier towards me.
