Part 9 - The great ping-pong scam

I'm sat watching tori play ping pong against everyone to try and get on the team. She managed to beat everyone which is impressive. I'm sat on the ping pong table and Beck is i front of me leaning over me with his hands either side of me for balance. "Well?" Tori asks jade.

"You didn't make the team." Jade says

"Wha... what? I beat everybody." Tori states

"I don't care. Read the school website." Jade says handing tori her phone

"'When a student try's out for a sports team for which there is no coach, the team captain shall decide if the student is granted or denied acceptance to the team.'" Tori reads

"Captain says denied." Jade says taking her phone back.

"But you can't just... just." Tori says

"Read the phone tori. Read the phone." Jade says waving the phone in toris face. Tori grabs jades hand

"Don't you steal my phone in the face bit." Tori says before walking out. I don't think she realised I was even in there.

I'm stood by my locker when tori comes over to me. "Hey al I need your help with something." She says

"What is it?" I ask

"I need you to help me figure out what the ping pong team is hiding." She says

"1 I don't think they're hiding anything. 2 how are you gonna do that?" I ask

"Sinjin is making something for us to hide in. Please." She says

"I don't know..." I say

"I'll give you...$40" she says pulling $40 out of her purse.

"Fine." I say taking the money.

It's the next day and I'm in a soda machine with tori. I'm there zoned out when a dollar comes in through the money hole. After a few moments I hear Beck say "what up with this machine it ate my dollar."
