A chilly air breeze brushes through the mountainous terrain and towering pine trees that overlook the small road that passes through. In the clearing, the snow that adorns the mountains with white looms a large brown lodge. Otherwise known as The Overlook Hotel.
The many windows against the wooden panels ominously stare out into the isolated region. The echoes of hymns from the past seep through the walls and into the surrounding air. The warm and inviting energy in the midst of the cold and solitude surroundings lures many visitors in, such as a mouse to a piece of cheese on a trap.
As the doors open, the beauty of the Overlook is revealed. Ornate chandeliers drape from the cream-white ceilings. Warm-colored tribal prints border the walls and floors. The deep red adds contrast in the pillars and curtains as if the color screams a meaning. Upon entrance, the warmth and welcome envelops a man as if it were masking the undismissable stench of death. The never-ending halls twist and turn, leading one into a maze and mental frenzy.

The mysterious echoes of party chatter and swinging jazz of the 1920's escapes through the industrial windows in the hall. The sign perched nearest to it reads "The Gold Room." Whilst stepping in, a room is revealed with grand intricate gold ceilings. A golden piano sits just at the top of the ornate wooden stage just at the far side of the room. Green tables and chairs bordered in a golden rim surround the stage. Deep red couches scream their color as one or two line the walkway to the brightly gleaming bar. The drinks lined the gold rimmed shelves as if they were calling out to the chosen man.
Strolling East...or West...a large stretching lounge discloses itself. Colossal embellished dark colored chandeliers decorate the tall wooden ceilings. The towering industrial windows line the outer wall of the lounge as the top square of the glass is stained with a tribal design. Couches, chairs, tables, and lamps were placed on deep red tribal rugs. Candlelight and shadows danced on the walls and on the captured images of parties, speakeasies, and historic moments of The Overlook's never ending and heavily masked history. The eyes blankly stared and overlooked the visitors. Yet the warmth and flames of the fire in the stone fireplace roared on.
Just as The Overlook continued to menacingly roar on through history as it's sinister eyes lingered over Colorado...
