I smiled for Naina's effort's sake even though right now I don't feel like smiling at all "what are you? A mutant with psychic abilities, who has been reading my thoughts for a while now?"

In reply she grinned "Maybe" She said as she shifted in her chair "ok so now hear me out. One if you actually want to help Babli di then you have to help yourself first Anokhi. And for helping yourself you need to get out of that house and away from those people. Babli di will need a sane Anokhi, not the one who needs therapist."

"I know Naina. It's just even if I find a place it won't be easy to leave my di with those hungry hyenas"

"Couldn't agree more. Even I feel terrible encouraging you to leave Babli di behind. But right now we don't have much of a choice." And she is not wrong, right now I am out of choices and to truly help my di I have to get out of there. Stay sane.
"Now let's come to 'where will you live part' well I have it figured out" Naina continued "You remember Krisha? My chirpy cousin I told you about few days ago?"

I racked my brain for a girl named Krisha. When my and Naina's conversation about her popped up. Naina told me her parental cousin was shifting to Chandigarh for College. "Yes, one from Amritsar. Right?"

"Yes" Naina replied even more enthusiastically "You can live with her. She wants a housemate anyways"

"And she lives where?" I asked raising my brows.

"The oaks" Naina said cooly "It's just ten minutes away from here. So you'll be able to save your-"

"No shit-"

"What"

"The oaks... Well I see that lavish looking building everyday on my way to college and then back. I'll never be able to pay-"

"Wait a damn minute! Who the heck asked you to pay? Let me check, yes I definitely didn't" Naina said angrily.

"Yeah, but I'm not going to live there for free while your cousin pays rent-" Naina' laughed at my reply making me stop and look at her confusingly with a big 'What' on my face "who told you that she would be paying rent. Girl, my uncle bought a apartment there around four years ago. Now that Krisha was going to attend college here and since she didn't want to stay in hostel because of her 'I don't need a warden to tell me what to do and when to do' she's staying there."

"And that means, I'll be living at your cousin's place. Which will basically make me tenant and what do tenants do? They pay rent" Naina shook her head and tried to speak but I continued anyway "I am not going to stay at her place for free Naina."

"Anokhi, Krisha is looking for a housemate not tenant and what makes you think she will accept rent from you?"

When I said nothing for next few minutes, Naina sighed "look take your time and think about it you have rest of the day. Tomorrow we'll meet Krisha, if you are ready. But before deciding anything just know this, Krisha don't want a tenant she want a housemate and she's not expecting rents or anything. If she were she would have asked for tenant instead of housemate. Lastly you will be helping her just as much she'll be helping you. You know she is not very comfortable being all alone in that four room apartment." Grinning Naina sat back in her chair "That idiot watches horror and slasher horror movies too much for her own good"
