When the morning bell rang,quick as a flash the girls flew out of bed and darted to retrieve their crisp, clean uniform,then they struggled it on,before combing their hair and then doing all the other necessary things.They raced (as usual) to the dining hall in record time,then taking two of the comfiest seats,and began to introduce themselves to the rest of the First form,who were waiting alongside for breakfast.
"Hello,"said the twins in perfect unison,"We are the Sparklers twins . Who are all of you?" The pleasant face from the coach began speaking to them again! "Oh,I am Lucy Smith.These girls are:Sophia McCarthy,the dancer of the form; Evelyn Hunter(Evie),who is the trickster of the form; Scarlett Parker,who is the musician of the form; Katherine Levy,the singer of the form and finally Ellie Grande,a brilliant,maybe the best actress ever!"
Wow,fancy meeting six people already,the twins thought,maybe there might be one more.It was almost like their wish had come true,but not in the way that they had expected.When the warm porridge oats were served,a new girl arrived."Hello girls,"called the head's tone,"there is a rather late new addition to this form,Fennela Swift."Everyone just stared at Fennela.She was wearing rather a lot of jewellery,and nail polish, thought the first form mistress,Miss Oriell in disgust, while looking at Fennela,showing of some of her latest pink nails to the others.Almost at once everyone knew she was spoiled and very rude sometimes,when she didn't get her own way since she would pout if no one was listening.(It wasn't their fault!.)
After breakfast,every girl tore down to the morning school except Fennela,who preferred to tiptoe on the wet grass,since she didn't want to spoil her new,shiny and very expensive shoes.When finally every girl was safe and sound in their form class,Miss Oriell started:"Hello girls,welcome to the first form classroom." As the routine at High Towers,the girls that have already been here can choose their seats,so older girls,go and find a place!" Practically all the girls chose the back row,so that row was almost taken up, but thankfully Sophia and Evelyn saved a private two-girls-only table for the overjoyed twins.The twins thanked the two girls and sped to the table, sitting down and placing their things on the table, when Fennela decided to have one of the seats on the same table.Then as she found the twins took her place she winced and then placed herself grumpily on a seat in the the dreaded first form row.Her sour look made the girls chatter and giggle.
With a clang,Miss Oriell quietened everyone down in her rather sensible mood."Now girls...Fennela,are you all right? You seem to be grumpy."
"I am."Fennela sulked,"those mean twins didn't let me take the seat I wanted because they took it and said I can't.".
"Well,why don't you learn to be sensible and take it in that you will not always get your own way.".Miss Oriell sighed.Really,those girls really should be in kindergarten,she thought.
Fenella sulked her way through the rest of the morning and afternoon school,words from disappointed mistresses just floated over her pretty brown haired head, and Scarlett said:"That girl really wants taking down a peg or two.
"Yes,we agree too."Cara spoke.Mia just nodded.Suddenly Cara and Mia remembered that she would be holding a midnight feast,so she told every girl(except Fennela)that she would be holding a midnight feast on Saturday the weekends.The form agreed to this and,since there was going to be no Fennela,there should be no problem in going in pairs to a tuck shop.There was a rule that the first,second or third form must go in pairs when strolling around the High Street. Fenella was puzzled why there was so much noise going on.But thankfully she didn't notice anything suspicious.
After a lovely picnic lunch on Marcedos Hill on Saturday,girls from the first form(Fennela excluded)were glimpsed scooping into tuck shops,buying large quantities of food and their giggling and chattering could be heard from a mile! When it was night, One girl per dormy would place an alarm clock underneath her pillow.Unlucky Scarlett,who shared a dormy with Fenella, would wait for Fenella to doze off,then she would read her book(Scarlett was an extremely keen reader)until midnight.Finally Scarlett could then creep out along with the others to the twins' room and share an exciting feast!Roll on midnight!
