*Drip drip drip*
The sound of the rain's aftermath echoed throughout the cave.
The chains creaked as the cages swung slowly through the air.
Inside on of those cages where beasts, animals, and other creatures.
One of which being a dragon.
Omonobu, was that dragon.
He had red scales and red hair. Those scales died down the closer it got to his claws, which were super sharp.
He was sad.
He was lonely.
The others hated him.
It was almost time for another Take out.
Soon enough, they'd be let down and brought to an arena.
The chains were always too tight on his wrists, but luckily he had strong scales.
"Let's start the 20th Take Out!", The Announcer yelled.
Too loud.
Omonobu's ears ringed.
He hated this.
The Take Out.
It was a system to see who was strong enough to survive the future experiments.
It usually consisted of Life or death battles.
What were the Higher One's goal?
He didn't know.
Why did they capture so many creatures to use against their will?
He didn't know.
He knew nothing and didn't try to learn anything.
Some had tried and their failure ended in terrible punishment.
Somehow there was always extra food the next day...
"Let the Take out, begin in.."
It was about to begin.
"3"
A battle between others he had known for so long.
"2"
A battle between others he barely looked at.
"1"
A battle against himself.
"Start!"
Omonobu booked it to his usual corner.
He watched as blood flew and teeth flared.
Everyone was fighting for their lives. Well, except Omonobu.
Someone had saw this and attacked the poor dragon.
He dodged and blocked continuously.
Soon, he found himself running away.
He hid for his life underneath a board.
Unfortunately, the beast had cornered the red dragon.
The beast had terrifyingly sharp teeth but that was nothing compared to his parent's teeth.
He prayed that someone or something would end this already.
Nobody ever did... except for one person..
The beast came to a halt and fell on it's side.
It was dead.
It had been shot with an arrow.
Omonobu tried to locate his savior and saw You.
Your stares lingered for a bit longer until you had left the dragonet's sight.
You had saved him.
Him..
A lonely, weak dragonet like him had just been saved by someone as great as You.
His thought's were interrupted by a growl.
He hadn't eaten yet.
Omonobu sighed as he pulled the beast's body underneath the board with him.
It wasn't against the rules to eat during the Take Out.
Sometimes it was even encouraged.
Omonobu stared at the beast, thinking about the encounter that happened just a few moments ago.
"Thank you for the food.."
