You sat curled up on the couch, lazily watching the rain drops fall from the gloomy sky to tap against the window panes before helplessly trailing downwardsIt was fitting really, the way the grey clouds swallowed up any spot of blue in the sky, and the way the trees braced themselves against the harsh winds, looking like they would simply snap from the pressure at any moment.You didn't really register the sound of the front door opening, or the familiar footsteps approaching the living room. It was as if your over-worked brain had just turned off, only able to follow the patterns the rain traced down the glass."Darling?" Obi's soft voice asked from the doorway.You hummed in acknowledgement, not taking your gaze off the somber landscape.He came to sit down beside you, his large, warm palm slipping into your limp, cold one."Is everything alright?" In all honesty, you didn't know.didn't know what you were feeling, or how to voice your complex emotions.All you knew in that moment was how to look out the window, at the rain pouring down from the sky."I-I don't know." You said. Your voice hoarse from not using it all day. "I'm just....tired."To your surprise you felt warm tears well up in the corner of your eyes, threatening to spill over.It was a release of emotion, finally putting words to what you had been feeling."I'm just so tired." You whispered, tears flowing freely down your cheeks now.Obi Wan silently wrapped his arms around you, pulling you into the safety of his chest."Is there anything I can do, my love?"You took a moment to ponder."Just sit here with me? For a little bit, please?"He placed a kiss at the junction of your neck and you swear you could feel his soothing smile against your skin."Of course darling."So, the two of you sat there, watching as the rain slowed and grey clouds finally dispersed, unveiling a brilliant blue sky.
