Adit and Karan had both got busy in their respective day to day life, balancing work and other chores.

It was already Tuesday night. Aditi sat on the makeshift couch in the living hall of her small apartment thinking about Karan. The weekend had gone by so quickly. She just couldn't erase his presence from around her.

It was funny how a weekend had changed so much. She was too deep in love with him. She smiled remembering the night she told him, 'I love you too'. It had just come out. That happened very rarely with her. She was always guarded about her feelings and always filtered her thoughts before speaking anything.

Aditi smiled, lost in her thoughts. How easy was that! She picked up her phone to see if there was a message from him. None

He hadn't called or texted after the morning exchange of greetings. He might be busy she thought to herself. She quickly picked up the phone and began typing.

Back home? Had dinner?

She waited and waited but there was no response from him. He'd probably be in the kitchen trying to make something. Thoughtfully she kept her phone aside, deciding to go make her bed. No longer than she had kept her phone than it rang. With a huge smile on her face she picked up the phone, her finger swiping across the screen to answer the call. Her actions were faster than her brain processing. Only after she had lifted the call she registered that it wasn't Karan, it was Pushkar.

"Hello?" She spoke.

"Hey, Aditi!"

"Hi!" She said awkwardly.

"Sorry for disturbing you. I am still at the office actually. Did you happen to look at the mail, George sent about, uh, fifteen minutes back?"

"No, I haven't looked yet. Anything that needs immediate attention?" Aditi asked straightening up.

"They've decided to upgrade the system firmware tomorrow morning, Eastern time. It clashes with our overnight test run plan." He informed

"Oh," Aditi said. "Give me some time, I will try to get on line with George and request him to reschedule his update."

"Right, ping me, to let me know what's the status. I will be driving back home."

"Sure!" She replied ending the call, quickly making her way to the room.

Karan:

Yes, just finished. I made kichdi today.

Let's shift to a video call.

Aditi sighed reading his message while looking back at her laptop screen. She quickly, picked up her phone and typed her reply.

Sorry, something came up. Need to get on a work call. Will call you after that.

You can call it a night if you're tired.

Karan :

I will wait.

After forty minutes of exhausting discussion, Aditi got off the call with George and immediately sent a notification mail to her team to push the test runs by a day. She then pinged Pushkar about the same. After shutting down her laptop, she sat on the bed and called Karan, hoping he hadn't slept.

"Hey, Adu!" Came his cheerful voice at once.

"I thought you'd be fast asleep," she remarked grinning. Seeing his smile instantly lit up her mood.
