Eris Malacoda has synesthesia. Basically all that it means is when one of her senses is activated another random sense is too. Everyone she meets has a color linked to their personalities. Her borderline abusive father is a dark crimson. Her older sister, Athena, is turquoise. And Eris Malacoda thinks of herself to be a tangerine orange. Eris has no control over this. She just sees people this way from what they do.
As Eris enters her last year at Hogwarts, she tells herself that she will give zero fucks. At this point she doesn't care how people perceive her. So when the once quiet girl, tells off her new professor, it's bound to get her some attention. Will she welcome that attention? That's a grey area. Who's to say?
As her world falls apart, Eris learns to let go and embrace the chaos, she also learns pain, heartbreak, and other depressing shit, but another lesson is everything is temporary. And she just hopes the electric blue lights around him aren't.
A/N: okokok so before we start the actual story I'm gonna give some warnings:
1. I do not own Harry Potter. I mean I wish I did, but I don't. I only own Eris Malacoda, and her storylines, and any other OCs I may think of.
2. I have synesthesia like Eris does, and it can come in different forms, so if you have it too, but differently, please don't tell me that I'm describing it wrong. It's difficult to put words to for me, and I'm slightly using this as an outlet.
3. There will be cursing. Like a lot. So if that makes you uncomfortable, just have discretion. Any other mature themes (smut, triggering topics, etc) will have a warning before the chapter and before the part that gets triggering, so you don't need to skip the whole chapter.
4. Constructive criticism is welcomed, just please be polite about it. Part of why I'm making this story is to improve my writing, so I really appreciate if you have any ideas, tips, etc.
