Chapter 9 | Rescueish

Hayes's p.o.v.

She's been gone for over a month and I think it's time to get her back. Finally, after a month, we finally have a lead on where she is. Getting to talk to her was amazing, hearing her voice in the first time in forever was like the first time I ever talked to her. It's time to get the love of my life back.

"Hayes, you ready to go?" Nash asks from the door. I nod and stand up, following him out of the house.

We arrive at the police station soon after 9:00 in the morning. We walked into the station and found the woman helping us with the location.

"Hayes... We've found the location of your girlfriend-"

"Where!?" I interrupt.

"She's in Michigan in Matthews great grandparents house." She says, looking at the computer. I mentally stabbed myself.

"Michigan?" I ask. That's halfway across the country!

"Yes. Would you like to see your girlfriend?" She asks. I nod as we go into a room to figure out the plan for the days to come.

Aria's p.o.v.

"Matt please!" I say, tears falling freely. He picks me up over his shoulder and brings me into his room.

"What did I tell you!! Don't or there will be punishment!" He says, locking the door. I wipe my tears and do as he says.

"O-okay..." I breathe, closing my eyes for a moment. When I open them, he's smirking. His lips connect hungrily to mine, not like it's new or anything. He orders me over to the bed.

"How about we have some fun first?" He whispers seductively into my ear. I just lie back, knowing what comes next. This has been going on since and I have to pretend like I enjoy it. Day after day... I actually thought about jumping off the roof a few times but I couldn't. It was Hayes, it's always been Hayes!

"Matt stop. I can't pretend like I'm enjoying this." I say, looking up at him nervously.

"You can or I'll press the button, one tiny little button and Hayes is dead!" Matthew smirks. I groan again and get up form the bed.

"Please Mathew! I used to look up to you! Remember? You were one of my best friends! Now. Now, you're a monster." I say, moving away from him. He stops and looks away.

"That was the old Matt. Now it's sex crazed Matt who can do whatever he wants! Now please stop being difficult!" He says. I swear I saw a tear.

"Matt please, just let me go!" I say, running my fingers through my hair.

"You see Aria! I CANT! Even if I do let me go, I'll still be sent to jail! Listen, I've made some bad choices in my life but fighting for you wasn't one of them. Even if they couldn't find me, I'd be running for the rest of my life! Who wants that! Aria please I know I've done bad things to you but please... I can't let you go. You're the only thing I have left." He says, tears falling from his eyes. I look away skeptically, I can't trust him after what he did.

"Matt... I-i can't, not after what you did." I say, a tear slipping from my eye.

"P-please I regret doing it the way I did but Aria, please. I love you!" He says, standing up frustratedly.

"Matt! The problem is is don't love you! I'm in love with Hayes! Maybe if I had met you before, or if somehow I didn't meet Hayes... Matt I don't know..." I sigh. He looks up at me, the night started falling making it darker in the room.

"Aria I'm sorry! I'm sorry I didn't meet you first, or that Hayes treated you better! But you're with me now!" He says, turning angry.

"Matt! Don't you get it?! I will never be with you by choice! I hate that you took me from my perfect life! I hate that you forced me to have sex with you! I hate you!" I say, getting angrier by every word.
